I'm hoping we can learn....get creative...personalize our magickal tools....and have some fun here....Throughout the many Pagan groups I'm in and have been in....I have noticed that sometimes people have a hard time aquiring certain tools....oils.....bath salts... etc...Or are looking for information on how to make charms...candles.... incenses and more....So I thought that compiling all this 'do it yourself' information in the same place would be of some help to all of us....

'The Crafty Witch' is a group intended for people that would like to learn to 'craft' some of their own magickal tools.....candles....incenses....etc....It's also a place to swap crafts...ideas....and recipes related to the group.....Some of the information here will be of my own making.....some will be of information I have gathered from around the web....Please feel free to contribute with your own information....I would like to cover as much as possible...whether it be on beading...charms....etc.....and I'd like to keep the work as simple as possible.....Please do not hesitate to make requests....Feedback and/or advice on any of the projects you may try here would be greatly appreciated....Let's keep our minds and hands busy....and have fun with the 'craft'.....

Have fun.....Sassy Jezebel

Use fireproof plates for any candles and careful with fire if the box is carton, fabric etc. I do have an altarbox, it was a woodenbox with 2 wine bottles. very flimsy wood and still have to watch it for fire.

it is pretty big… lemme see if I can find a picture

idk if this helps but you ca see shoes I had in the back of my trunk. It's a large-xl sized box in my opinion.

How big is the box?  You could cut cardboard to match the inside dimensions of the box, then "upholster" the cardboard with heavy fabric or add some batting and some nice velvet over it, and line it that way?  I can see it in my head but words are currently failing me.

I have a question, has anyone made their own altar box? I am using a box I found at Ross for $10 and painting the outside and lining the inside with softer fabric [and possibly making it a little bit more cushiony] for all of my altar items. Was wondering if there is an easy way of going about this?

Well you never know you have it till you try Felis.  But kids are certainly not for everyone!  And better that you didn't push yourself and regret it!

Amethyst I a 3 yo darling boy, and this one cooking is a little girl.  I'm always very sickly when I'm pregnant which makes it not a pleasant time for me.  However, I remind myself that it doesn't last that long compared to life itself so it's just a drop in the bucket.

I also am child free by choice.  That is where you can tell the difference between friends and acquaintances.   Friends are like, no you should not have kids, and acquaintances are all like why don't you have kids.  For the 1st 5 years after I got married got lots of "but if you have kids you will like them" by people.  That is why there are so many abused children.  I would never hurt a child but I know I have no patience with them, I'm a great Aunt though.  So to those who have kids hats of to you, that's a lot of work with great rewards, just not my cup of tea.

Amethyst, thank you. Certainly no one here has made me feel guilty for my choice! I have had other people try that, and it doesn't work. In some cultures, of course, you get married to have a family, so some people I've known from such cultures were rather shocked/surprised when I told them I wasn't going to have children.

Lol I found 2 was my limit!!!  They can be very trying ( mine are 4 and almost 2) but are so wonderful! Felis sometimes its just fun being the fun/crazy relative! I know quite a few people who decided kids werent their thing, they said they enjoyed beingbthe aunt/uncle to all the kids in town :)  some of my friends just plain dont like kids lol.

I always thought id have 3 kids, then I realized I hate bring pregnant lol!

Prariewolf Pinterest is amazing and the board that Zu shared on the previous page (I think) is very good. Like I said tho I like to get my hands in the dirt, especially with kids!

Children can be such a blessing! And a curse! Hahaha! I have one. He's an adult now and he really has a beautiful soul. However no one can break your heart like your own child. He was a child with special needs (mild) and I almost lost him at birth. Did lose him actually but they got him back. He was quite a difficult baby and now quite a difficult hot adult it seems.

Felis I hope no one has tried to make you feel guilty about your choice to remain childless. Many do that and it's infuriating to me. Congrats on making that choice. I always thought I would be child free but then...along came the boy. Hahaha!

Aradia how many kids do you have? One was all I could handlephhsicslly or emotionally. I'm a high risk for pregnancy so one was definitely enough.
