I've always been fasinated by faeries. I even have one tatted on my back,she is my gardian. I found a mushroom ring at my old house in my backyard, by a big oak. I left sweet bread and wine out for them along with my favorite black crysytal ball. It was a full moon,go figure, the ball has been cold ever since and when I feel real bad I hold it and feel better. Be nice and curtious to them and they will be there for you! Beware not too be mean or spoil them,it will back fire on you.

I'm a solitary kitchen witch who's recently been drawn to faeries. We are moving and I'm relocating most of my plants to the new yard. I'm sure this is why they are making themselves know to me. They have gently visited me in my dreams. Can anyone help me learn a little more about them. I'm very happy to have found this sight.

Hope everyone had a glorious Memorial Day weekend. I found a nursery in PA that was awesome! It sells all kinds of "stepables", plants that you can walk on, such as irish moss, various thymes and others. It's called Esbenshades. Hoping I can get back up there soon :)

Jazmin, I personally believe that fairies live everywhere. :) I'm sure there are desert fairies that make homes near cactus and Joshua trees. Perhaps they're even friendly with scorpions, who knows? :)

Pamela, some of the plants I have used include Artemesia, wooly thyme (which I LOVE but it does spread a bit) lemon thyme, elfin thyme, jacobs coat, spider wort, cala lilly, dwarf mondo grass, blue star grass, irish moss. I also have two ivy's which I have to keep after so they don't run ammok, lol! I wanted some ivy to grow over the cottage a bit. I also have some dwarf spruce to act as trees. The only things that have tended to spread is the wooly thyme, (though it doesn't spread obnoxiously) and the ivy. I have a couple of other plants in there too but can't remember the names of them.

I am trying to decided on the wee plants to put in around my Farie Cottage. I don't want the plants to over take the cottage. Any suggestions?

I've love it if everyone would join me at The Farie Garden! I made a community just for my friends who love faeries as much as I do, (I know, something else to keep up with) but the community gives you so many more options than just the group.
