I'm surprised no one has mentioned this one... and if you did, I'm sorry I overlooked it! Pan's Labrynth is one of my all time favorites! After I saw this flick, I went out and purchased it immediately! I also started talking to insects more often than I did before! What an immagination behind this film! His other films are really good too!

Did you understand this movie EarthBaby? If so could you please explain what the movie meant. I did not understand it at all..On a rating of 1 to 5 (5 being the best) I give the movie a 2. The reason for a rating of 2 is because of the awesome graphics..

Spirit_seeker, what did you not 'get'? The movie is pretty simple compared to other movies.

I just the whole movie did not make since to me. I watched it three times to understand it and never did. Why she was chosen and so forth? Watching it three times is enough for me...LOL!!

I haven't watched it in awhile...

But if i recall, she was a princess to this divine couple in another realm. All the stuff the goat guy "Pan" put her through was merely a series of "tests" to see if she was fit for her kingdom. Now she was born with human parents, but her "real" parents were in the otherworld and she was left unaware as a human that she was "special" until after she died and passed the final test.

This is one of my fave foreign and Spanish films i have ever seen.

I loved how the film would switch between regular life where nothing was abnormal and the "supernatural" where she would go to the otherworlds.

I really enjoyed this,I'm glad also that I don't have to use subtitles for I do know Spanish language.

But another one I did enjoy was Boy in the Stripped Pajamas,I cried so much,I thought I had waterfall coming out of my eyes.

I would have to say it's a must see.
