Can you give me any details about the number 3 in the druid sense?

druid ism, is the model from the 3 basic planets from the sun, mercury venus and earth, but often skipped over to the nature of mars...

mercury (messages), venus (women) and mars (men)..... beyond that you have much to learn...

They put all their sayings in 3 lines and 3 seems to be an important number. The author mentions the theme of past present and future.

Does 3 have more significance than this? (yes) Does it extent into some more general concept in magick itself?

yes ( the mind, body, soul, the alpha, beta, and zeta or omegan... and more still)

though the trinity is mostly roman, the form of the druid model is fully kel....(welsh)
