That's so sweet. I just love hearing cat stories. Bast is a strong goddess and is both a Solar and Moon goddess. So that makes her perfect for a representation of the sun and the moon.

I've always been more drawn towards the Egyptian path, however I don't follow any one path monogousmously. I use different things from different paths as it pertains to what my needs may be. However, I have always been very strongly drawn to Bast, but don't know what the reason may be. I've always been a cat lover and rescued many cats in my lifetime and either kept them or found homes for them. I had a cat one time that found me, whom I named I Ching. She was a real beauty and the strangest cat I've ever had. She loved to get into the bathtub with me when I came home from work. I mean, she would start out walking the rim of the tub as it was filling, (always used bubbles, think that was the initial attraction), and when I turned the water off and layer back to soak and relax, she would come right into the tub with me and lie on my chest. LOL
