PaganSpace.net The Social Network for the Occult Community

To start us off, here is what a Warrior is to me.

A warrior for this purpose is:

* one who is secure in himself
* requires no validation from without
* has the heart, soul, and mind aligned most of the time
* strives to be true to themselves
* is not a show off

Here are some Warrior Traits.

Warrior Traits

a. Seeing the truth of self

1). Taking responsibility for actions

2). Recognizing the truth in all things

3). Seeing the BIG picture

b. Self discipline

1). View every situation in balance

2). Develop analysis without emotion

c. Defense

1). Physical vs Mental defense

2). Magical defense

3). Defensive astral armor

d. Responsibility

1). accept consequences of actions

2). accept consequences of choices

e. Physical-mental fitness

1). death of the couch potato

True, however, I wonder if these actually acted out their warrior side or their soldier side. Hmmm

I am glad I found this group. I am Pagan (extremely eclectic) in belief and currently I am on a path of self-discovery. Reading this post has been a wonderful reference point for me because it highlights everything I wish to be in life. I know I fall short on several but at least I know I fall short on them and can work at them. Again thank you for creating this group!

Falling short is only recognizing the length of the path. Be of good cheer, after all as my grandmother and teacher/Queen taught me many years ago..

Yesterday is gone
Tomorrow never comes
Today is a good day to die
and if ya don't die it is even BETTER!

It seems that I like most am still walking down the path to becomming a warrior, although I take pride in some of the things that I have been able to accomplish over the years. I still know that there is much work ahead of me, and much growth is required before I can join my lord in the afterlife.

Continue the journey friend, hold true to your code and work the path.

I look forward to more from you

Merry Meet Mr. Willowhawk and group....

First I give respect to Mr. Willowhawk, for his heart is in the right place here. I believe the true heart of the warrior lay within. I have spent a lifetime as a Warrior with 3 tours in southeast Asia, several as a merc and over 30 years as an "op" in shadow for people and groups that don't exist, now retired and still ready for more. I understand clearly the strength of a group, ( have been a Mason for over 40 years (just got my pin) a Knight Templar, and a Brother in things I cannot discuss.) My credentials have little value as far as I am concerned when you stack them up against a world that degrades to dust before our eyes and the strong ones will be those left standing. Always I think that I do not know how much I can get away with in regards to shaping "non-coms" into Warriors without the network expunging it and shutting me down as they have rudely done in the past, so I also have another site with fellow Warriors, where I have started teaching many nasty things and am always thinking up topics of ill intent so even the weak may bring down the jackal....as my Group states...we take care of our own. You don't need a body count to be a Warrior, just a heart, a need to right some wrongs, and make the street safer because we all know that the poor corrupt police have enough on their plates. Yes....we band of brothers and sisters.....sort of like a Fam Trad...with steel....(chuckles). I shall not go off quietly into shadow....not as long as I can make C4 and automatic weapons in my workshop....:)

Welcome to the group. Banding together is the way. I am sorry that you have been banned from other groups. Warriors are sometimes misunderstood. Yet, as I see from your post, staying true to your own code is always fraught with frustration, especially when met with intollerance from those we truly wish to protect.

Bright Blessing,

Alfred

I think a Warrior is one who does what must be done. This includes all of what you said above, but also includes the faculty of taking those physical actions that need to be done. A Warrior unhesitatingly offers aid, unhesitatingly rushes to succor those in need. A Warrior protects those who can not or will not protect themselves.
