Merry Meet, to those strong enough to stand...

I am an old Warrior Warlock and I look around and can only shake my head at the bullshit and political correctness of the waste of time crowd, and have noticed that some people live a wanna-be pagan/vampyre/alien/RPG lifestyle, pretending to be this or that, and I hope they never wake up, they would just get in our way. Some speak on a philosophical level, others on a metaphysical level and some, like me, on the level where the metal hits the meat. I relate to most and even if a person hasn't worn the blood of their enemies in battle, the news is clear that things are not good out there and sooner or later, a line will be drawn and choices must be made and are you ready? as Chris Angel would say? I did my time away from home as a soldier for my country, and a few after that for coin, and retired after 30 years as a Spook, and I always came back to the same old shit. People still hate for all the wrong reasons, little greedy bastards finding new ways to rob the old and foolish, crooked rednecks in government passing out your money to each other like it's theirs, while smiling in your face with a "God Bless America", and animals on the street that hunt the weak and only know violence. I see warriors like me who have been there, paid their dues for all, have laid it on the line, and in the end, lost body parts, family, and even a place to live because nobody cares so we turn our backs on this uncaring world. That is sad for them because they need us more now than ever my warrior brothers and sisters. This all adds up in a way where we have to make a choice on what to do, and even those who are spiritual, and I see myself as that, stand ready to draw the line. For now, I ward those I love, watch my six, and keep my gear oiled and sharp. The difference now is that I not only feel with magick but also scent a taint in the air and I feel a great sadness for the world and see a future of much turmoil and strife. When that day comes, we will need to be strong and learn what is needed to be strong and survive as a Warrior, there will be no other options. I thought long and hard and came up with a solution... I decided on a Gathering, a site for people who are of strong nature and will, a site to teach all that one needs to survive and not be a victim, and to ward those who need us. Some of us have a lot of intel to teach the young-uns and I feel this is it. If you follow the Warrior path and feel like I do, you are most welcome. I don't want your money, save it for the wee lads and lasses at Yule or Samhain, I want your heart, your soul, and your lore, to help those who will soon desperately need us and have nobody. I will be there with some good people who will follow, and I will teach, and learn, and I hope everyone feels the same......Blessings.

A descendant of Gerald Gardner once told me that to effectively manifest one's will externally and abroad one had to first be able to rule one's own space - to stand one's own ground. This man taught me that no one is truly a mage without first being a warrior. My experience concurs. I look forward to hearing from others here. I am new to Pagan Space and am absolutely delighted to have found this!
