My babies were growing wonderfully in the pots I had them in but suddenly in the last week their leaves have quickly wilted, turned yellow, and/or gotten dark circles, and they've started dying.

Is there something I should/could do to save them? They weren't blooming but their leaves were soo green and beautiful. I'm at a loss on what to do for them

Thanks soo much!

I feel for you. The same thing happened to me with chamomile which I was trying to start indoors. I was careful to keep it regularly watered, which it thrived on the first week. Then, over the second week, came the second phase. I think maybe the watering needs to be lightened up a little. Either overall, or after the first sign of germination.

I have a second batch going now, which is getting watered twice a week like adult plants from the start.

I also sprinkled some seeds in the yard about a week ago, and haven't seen any action yet, despite the ground being sprinklered regularly. Outdoors is particularly difficult because the area regularly springs up grass I'm trying to get rid of, so I'm constantly pulling up roots around where the seeds were, which may be disrupting their germination. It's been nearly a week for the outdoor group, and no sign of germination yet.

Herb seeds are much more expensive than grass seeds, and it's late in the season. I had hoped to get things going so that I don't wind up laying down more grass seed, which will have to be mowed.

maybe something bad happened to the roots. i had that happen to some plants once when i left them on top of my toaster oven while it was on, the roots got too hot, and they all died :(.

Morning glories do better if started outside in the ground, in my experience anyway. Sounds like damping off, or too much or not enough water.
