Hello all-  I just joined your group and have to say it sounds very interesting and very welcoming.   I can't say that I follow any path in particular just do what 'feels' right when necessary.  I am definitely a crone (being 70 years of age) I have adult children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  I hope I get to talk to each of you.

Here's something for those who get a little tired of those trying to put a gloss over trad crafting. I love this guy!

Thanks Cinaed, I just keep falling back into trying to complicate things, it's not that I want it complicated, its just something I expect I guess... its interesting that you mention Welsh, my family heritage is from Welsh decent. Part of something I have been seeking is to find a common form of Traditional Witchcraft from that time period that possibly might have been the kind my ancestors practiced! The Witchcraft they practiced came from the late 1600s and the early 1700's, my family book was lost in the early 20th century, and the tradition was stopped. I feel a deep longing to find the particular sort of tradition they practiced, but know very little because my grandmother would not talk about it. All I know is a single spell that was performed by her great grandmother, and I do not know what all was in the spell. but I know it worked, it saved my grandmother's life, I am still seeking direction I guess.

Once again, Kenneth, I fear you are looking for an orthodoxy when there is none. Different traditions, as well as different individuals, have different ritual days. The tradition I am a part of uses the cycle of the Sacred King, but that is just part of our Welsh/Celtic trad. Many who follow the Heathen ways of the Craft will use the "Blots" when designing and performing ritual. Some folks use the times to celebrate the seasons, while others (like us) use the ritual times for the Great Work. There is nothing strictly for the traditional witch, as traditional crafting has no boundaries. If you really feel the need for lists, liturgy, and specifics, perhaps Ceremonial Magic and groups like "The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn" would satisfy those needs. Those orders are very established, and legitimate magical systems.

what are the ritual days of the year for the Traditional Witch? I want to know exactly which ones are strictly for the traditional witch. I need find the rituals themselves as far as the list of items needed and the words to recite while performing these rituals. I have found a few on youtube, but they are unclear as to if they are wiccan or traditional.

Dear Witches and Pagans,

My friend is having a surgery today. I need your help - I need some kind of protection or luck spell to cast with only sage, a quartz and a jasper, since this is all I have with me at the moment!

Thank You in  advance!

Blessed be!

Really? A riddle.... how is it a riddle? that seems very interesting! and the fact that I have been drawn to it since I first encountered it, and that it is connected to Traditional Witchcraft which I both chose out of random feelings on connection to them.... hmm, so far it seems my path is working for itself! lol
