India was a place I visited with the Tibetan Nuns Project buddhist group with HH Dalai Lama. It was a life changing experience. First of all the extreme poverty and the ruggedness of the rural areas,…Continue

Comment by Joanne on December 17, 2010 at 8:46am A law is being passed here to stop jailing people in debt due to no fault of their own i.e change in income, like me....so at least I won't be heading to prison now, along with hundreds of thousands of people here!!
Must collect Gerard from school...and bring him to see Santa!! :)
Mac..I read that letter you posted from a prisoner...although I know these shocking things happen in prisons...It never fails to effect me deeply. I have said it a few times before...homosapiens are the cruellest species on this earth.
Yes Mac it does... :(
Agree Joanne...I love that song Mac :)
Comment by Joanne on December 17, 2010 at 8:32am Another amazing song!! Think we all have the same taste in music here!! :)
Comment by Joanne on December 17, 2010 at 8:28am No one in my village knows much about me, like you, don't want to defend my beliefs, when I do not judge their own...
Thanks Holly, I knew you had not forgotten, time is simply not on our side this time of year :)
Love the song you posted too....
Morning Joanne and Blessings :)
Sometimes we must do what we have to do for peace and harmony. My thoughts and beliefs belong to me and I avoid having to defend them verbally to those who will never see another point of view.
I haven't forgotten your request Joanne... I'm working on putting some complimentary herbs together for you :)
Comment by Joanne on December 17, 2010 at 8:12am Well done Holly for keeping your composure!! I have to go to a carol service at the church for my son on Monday evening...but have a feeling it will be cancelled due to snow thats due to arrive!!! The things I do for my kids to blend into a Catholic society like Ireland...
Good morning Mac....thought I'd better check in before too many posts get away from me. How are you?
Had a visit from two UK friends over the past few days...lovely people but devout catholics :( They saw my little tree all lit up and commented on why I have a tree being a Pagan/Witch and all (trying to get a bite out of me)....I didn't bother to make a comment as I knew it would start all sorts of friction so exercised the "will to be silent" on this occasion as there were also other friends present. A topic arose about them going to morning mass at the local church and how wonderful the priest delivered his sermon last Sunday...again under outstanding control I kept my mouth zipped as I know this particular priest visits a gay acqaintance during the week for a little afternoon delight...the hypocracy of it all sickens me really <sigh> but nevertheless was proud of myself for keeping my composure under duress :[
