Merry Meet!

I just joined this Group. With my schedule, I can't promise I'll be here often. But I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Blessed Be!

Key Lime 'Cheesecake'

2 pkgs. Tofutti plain cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup key lime juice
2 tsp. lime zest (grated rind of lime)
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 9-inch graham cracker crust

•Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine the "cream cheese," sugar, vanilla, lime juice, zest, and cornstarch in a blender and mix until smooth.

•Pour the mixture into the graham cracker crust. Place the filled pie shell on a cookie sheet (the pie tends to boil over during cooking). Bake for 60 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.

•Remove and let it set until cool to the touch, then chill in the fridge overnight.

I made a yummy parmijana meal tonight on the electric grill.

I used Fry's crumbed schnitzels grilled,
zucchini halved lengthways and
capsicum chunks both grilled,
the sauce I just made with some onion rings fried lightly with half a teaspoon of Nuttlex till just brown and a can of italian crushed tomatoes.

Even the littlies were saying yum yum.

i dont know about in other contries but the emulsifier numbered 471 is also often from meat origin, it can be either from meat or from soy and a lot of companies do not lable the food correctly, 471 is found in alot of foods from bread to cereal and some pastas and ice creams. you are best off checking with the company to find out if it is meat or soy based! just another tip from me! <3

Are you serious, Wrathskitty?
That is disgusting! It was bad enough realising that many cheeses and soft candy are not vegetarian - but smarties?!
