I am working on a painting this Winter of Loki. It is part of my 'Erotic God' series that includes Odin and Herne and I attached pics on both paintings.
It is my erotic take on him as the others and but I also want to be true to the mythology. I have for the most part, him penciled out with long reddish kinked hair and Fox and Magpie motifs.
I am curious to hear other thoughts, criticisms, and the like and any info anyone would like to share with me about him.
Those are very cool. I enjoy the subtle yet powerful essence he conveyed in his pieces. Geesh, girl! Thanks for going through the effort, I appreciate it. :) It's nice to see other interpretations. I think Odin is my fav of the 3 he did, interestingly enough. You are more then welcome to pass along my pieces to him, send him my web site too. windwolf.com I trust he will enjoy seeing them. I know I am not doing anything conventional here with taking the erotic approach and because Loki will be the extreme of the 3, I will probably have two versions for more virginal tastes. ;) Thank you so much again!
Gosh, I wish I could help but it's kinda hard doing so via email..... But if you have any questions, just email me on my page and I will try. Personally, I am self taught and allot of what I learned is just from doing it and seeing how things work..... I know there are some good books out there. Just do some research and that should help too. There is a couple of artist groups here on paganspace to that could be of some help. I haven't posted there yet mainly cause I've been so busy of late but they may be able to give more insight as well. All the best to you!
Very nice depictions of Odin and Herme, I really like the company that Odin is keeping in your vision. I look forward to your take on Thor"s half brother. My first Siberian Husky pup is named for Loki, because he was/is a little shitter, always causing trouble in the litter. Here is a photo of him taken 3 months ago when he turned six months old:
