I just thought I'd throw a group out there to see how many folks on PaganSpace have paid their sixpence and personally relate to the divine ironmonger in his arcane role as the instrument of essential change through his forge-fire.

Perhaps you are familiar with the part about the blacksmith in Brian Bates' The Way of Wyrd, or read Elizabeth Bear's wonderful story, The Cold Blacksmith. You may even know of the barrow chamber near Uffington in Oxfordshire.

You may even have some familiarity with the mysteries of Roy Bowers and his original Clan of Tubal Cain. Or you may know the saga of Wolundr from the Eddas.

All of these hold keys to unlocking a doorway, a gate on the road to understanding the shamanic roots of European witchcraft. Gather your sixpence and fare forth the fetch...the Blacksmith awaits you.
