So maybe this is to mundane to ask a group of outcasts, but how do people feel about fat? Now of course we are all going to start with the fact that we really don't care what somone looks like, blah, blah, blah. While for friendship I do agree that pagans are far less likely to care, what about mating purposes? I guess what I'm really trying to find out is, how we feel about the fact that 30% of US citizens are obese and it is spreading. I have a particular intrest in body image and obesity since I have weighed much more that I was suppose to most of my life. In fact I have only been with in my weight range for 4 years during my life time.
I also have an issue with the fact that for me to go from 220 lbs to 130lbs for 4 years that I had to exercise 6 days a week for 3 or 4 hours a day and eat almost 1200-1400 calories a day. Do people who are thinner find themselves working this hard to maintain their weight? I'm just curious. I don't believe the majority of them do. Don't get me wrong, I think that US citizens as a whole need to exercise more often and eat healthier food, but our society is not really set up for that. Plus with the way the economy is now it is a lot more difficult. While it is difficult; it is not impossible. How much time a week do you feel is appropriate for you to give up from the craft, family, and friends, to have an exercise regimne?
Thanks for your responses and I'm sorry if you believe this is trivial issue.
