My Truth, my Magick, my Power…a witchy woman starting back at one…literally.
True Magick begins from within. Yes, you have the tools, the books, the spells, the candles, the incense, the altar etc, but what did you have before you had all of those things? What if you did not have those things or tools at all? How would you “do” magick? I am at a place where I do not have anything at all, because over the past year and a half to 2 years I had an inner fight going on with myself over what is spiritually right or wrong. I ended up throwing away everything foolishly, my books, my candles, my…everything and you if you are reading this you would most likely agree that this is the work of a fool or complete idiot…well read on.
I have concluded that I had to lose everything to understand and regain my own power back and make my own magick from within myself. Of course, all of those tools and super fun/mood invoking gadgets and things will be replaced over time, but I think my biggest lesson in losing…ok throwing away all of my magickal tools was that I did not need them to begin with and my magick or power was always and truly coming from within myself.
Below is a poem/some thoughts from a magickal journal (that I decided to keep thank the heavens!) I wrote July 26th, 2005 before all my confusion about right or wrong came full force and started taunting me:
To feel the open of the enormous day surround me. Being separate, but at one with the huge vastness of the Universe, as if being swallowed up by the sky, yet rooted to the soil beneath me. For my soul, this is sheer joy and my spirit is entangled, at peace, and open with the Divine and Divinity and simply Being.
This feeling for me is the epitome of the meaning of Magick….the closest to truth and freedom and being free. Only at this place, this moment of time, which does not exist but is...do I feel my most powerful. I feel as if I can conjure clouds with but a breath. The trick is to create this same state of existence at any given moment, and understand and know, anything is possible when I believe.
This is where I feel that losing all my tools and the inner fighting was trying to return me to, back at this place of beauty, power, strength and true magick…and spiritual royalty. The Queen is back on her throne. I am so happy to be back at this place! :) I am at a place of being grounded in every step that I take, every movement is a dance with a definite purpose, with the universe, with God and has absolute meaning. This is my Truth, my Magick, my Power.

The true magick comes from within you my dear. You are the magick. Intention is stronger than having tools.
