As a vendor, I take along as many products as I have room for. In my experience you never know how well things will sell. I'd rather have enough than to run out and wish I had more.  Hope that is helpful.

Sorry, I am not a vendor... There are a lot of different sizes for faires... and some also get way more gate then others... Good luck.

We are having our first booth this year at the local faire. How much product (soap, lotion) is a good rule to have?

I am not sure about faires way out there but over here on the west cost they want to know way in advance what you are going to be doing with your booth. Last minute additions may not be accepted. Look carefully at the rules for venders before you make a decision. If you have any doubts about having enough inventory .... that could be a big warning sign. If you have a lot of Patrons at your faire you could easily run out.

Working faire can be a lot of fun. I wish you well. Hopefully they will not mind you selling a few small things with your face painting stuff that way you can see how it will be received by the audience. It could go very well then next year you can focus only on that. Good Luck... I hope this helps...

needing some advise from others I might be doing face painting out at a local ren faire here in missouri but I might have to do some other stuff for the booth area. I have other things I do such as knitting and wood carving but I don't really feel I have done these hobbies long enough to have stock up for a ren faire but since it is in october I could try to get some things made. I just thought face painting would be easier to do  in a short amount of time.

can anyone give any helpeful advise of quick easy things I could think of to do. Sorry kind of  was caught of guard a bit

Well the Mid Michigan Renn Faire is soon here. I plan on being there the whole time id all goes good. Come Find me as well.

Some tips: If you look to get INVOLVED in communication and the acts, try the Pennsylvania Ren Faire. The Maryland Ren Faire is better for olde cultural immersion and realistic past atmosphere (no real pavement, true craftsmen, etc...) but no one is friendly to hands-on experiences. Unless you're a small child, they won't let you get involved in anything. And the workers there don't want to do more than their job - be there.
