About Me:: I am a solitary, Greek influenced Wiccan with an emphasis on Kthonic beliefs and practices. My main deities are Hades and and his wife Persephone. I also found the Disney movie amusing :)

I am a CNA who is currently recession fodder. I enjoy taking care of people and tending to the sick. Helping people in general is something I love doing. I read books and learn as much as I can about my path and the path of others. We are all in the world together and we need to help each other. :)

Other Beliefs/Practices: I also honor the Hindu god Shiva. I couldn't abandon him when I switched from Eclectic to Greek. I have my own code of honor that I strictly adhere to as best I can. I strive to treat others honestly and fairly, expecting the same in return. I also have seasonings of Nocturnal Witchcraft, started by Konstantinos (supposedly), but I do not agree with a lot of his teachings. Thus I quit. I have never been in a coven though I have practiced for 5 years. I strive to promote acceptance while diminishing ignorance. I believe strongly in knowledge and education. And I also believe everyone deserves one compliment a day. Also, I am not a white-lighter Wiccan.

Hobbies: Occult studies, research into topics of interest, politics (somewhat, mostly civil rights), anime, manga, comic books (mostly Lady Death, X-Men, Chastity, Batman, and Marvel comics), video games, reading, working on my Book of Shadows, talking on the phone, movies, art, drawing, dancing, music, taking care of sick people (lol!)

Thoughts on Persephone and the "Mother Goddess"

I am currently perusing through the book Mysteries of Demeter by Jennifer Reif. In some the the pages they detail accounts of women who practice and research the Eleusinian Mysteries. Granted they don't claim that it is 100% true to the old days. Unless you have a time travel-machine, you'll never get 100% accuracy since there is so little known. Bank screws me over

The bank did not even send me a fucking statement telling me I had an overdraft and they suck out what little money I do have right now that was supposed to be used for paying bills. It wasn't even that much! I am going up there tomorrow to raise cain over the issue and close my account. I will have to find the money elsewhere, since I have been laid off. God damn the recession.
