The Heart of the Military

The Heart of the MilitaryThe average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his father's; but he has never collected unemployment either. He's a recent High School graduate; he was probably an average…See More

About Me:
I am currently in the military. Gearing up to go to war in Afghanistan. I started out my pagan belief when I was 16 starting out through the path of my native american ancestors, until recently when I came to the conclusion that Shamanism and Nordic path and beliefs tied in very close to each other.

Lo there do I see my father
Lo there do I see my Mother,

Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining
Lo they do call to me,
They bid me to take my place among them,
In the halls of Valhalla
Where the brave,
They live
Forever...
(translated from the writings of Ibn Fahdlan the mad arab during his time with the norse, how ever popular this prayer is, unfortunately is a bastardization due to movie making.)

Lo, I see my Father and Mother;
Lo, I see all my deceased relatives sitting;
Lo, there is my master, who is sitting in paradise. Paradise is so beautiful, so green. With him are his men and boys. He calls me so bring me to him.
( Due to time and decay the Ibn Fadlan writings are few and far between, to few have been found , but what has been found has been a fount of information and insight into the Norse)

Praise not the day until evening has come; a woman until she is burnt; a sword until it is tried; a maiden until she is married; ice until it has been crossed; beer until it has been drunk.
-Viking Proverb

We cannot enter into alliances until we are acquainted with the designs of our neighbors.

You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.
