- I am a practicing Pagan in a Celtic Family Tradition for over 25 years. I have a Bachelors of Metaphysical Science, (BMsc) from the University of Sedona, I am completing my MMsc, (expected completion Fall 2009), and preparing for my DMsc. I am also a Spiritual Counselor (International Metaphysical Ministry), and am currently ordained (April 2009) by the International Metaphysical Ministry) In 2005 I received ordination from the Church of the Seven Planes. I am a Licensed Spiritual Coach (2007) and a Reiki Master (1995). I recently published a book of poetry, Hawk Sighting. I am the editor in chief of the Heartland Spirit the Newsletter of the Heartland Spiritual Alliance, and a freelance writer
My spiritual name is Vajrasattva Savitur and in Pagan circles I am known as Alfred Willowhawk. This name is drawn from The Willow Tree at the center of the Otherworld which is the Pathway to the Bright World and The Hawk, who represents recollection, cleansing of self and is the Messenger of the Otherworld.

Reflections of Beltane
Beltane, May Day, Cinco de Mayo, whatever you call it is a wonderful time of year.
This year I was pleased to be part of a gathering of about 75 people in Minnesota. This was a small gathering of individuals from a variety of paths who got together to celebrate the day together.
We arrived Friday afternoon after a 10 hr drive from Kansas in two vehicles, a little sore, but expectant. We were greeted by one of the organizers who pointed out our cabin and we unloaded.

When is it appropriate to utilize a Spiritual Coach versus a traditional counselor? Frankly, what is the difference?
