I guess I should include a little bit about me as an ice breaker.
I became a Pagan (I prefer polytheist) at the age of twelve. I wasn't raised within any particular religion and both of my parents allowed my brother and I to explore our own respective spiritualities. When I turned sixteen, I became a member of the Golden Dawn (a ceremonial magick group) and I remained within that paradigm for over twelve years. The skills I learned there were valuable for me and it helped me to form a magical practice that was/is very diverse.
I have a BA in ancient Greek language and literature and I am currently an MA student. I'll be receiving my MA in May and I already have some offers for PhD. work. My area of graduate study might be shocking to some and it's even shocking/frustrating/annoying to me at times. Therefore, I have no interest in 'talking shop' on this blog - I'd like to leave school at school. At the most, perhaps I'll post a, "Yay! I finished a paper" or a, "Yay! I'm giving a presentation at XYZ school next month."
I'm a normal person. I'm snarky. I have a good sense of humor. I am very down-to-earth and unpretentious. Most of the personal things about me will only be talked about in 'friends only' posts.
