Let's see... I am a natural redhead; I would like to be thinner, but I've made peace with my body. I adore cats. I am addicted to coffee. I love to cook and entertain. I love children...other people's children who take them home at night. I've spent over half of my life teaching kids special ed art and being a scout leader (I have earned my Woodbadge, thank you, and am a Brotherhood Honor OA member.)I'm a natural healer certified in several alternative therapies. I'm also am Empath and have worked with the police in several states. I love to write and communicate...which is why I have a blog here...oh, yeah...Hallowe'en is my favorite holiday since I was little. I guess I've always had a little witch in me. I have a finely tuned bull shit detector, but if you do manage to take advantage of my good nature, just remember that karma is a bigger bitch than I choose to be.

I'm interested in meeting people who are discovering their spiritual path, who have a deep and abiding love for Nature, Music and the Arts ; those who are developing their own theology and/or write liturgy;seekers, poets and songwriters; those who are involved in theater. Individuals who can respect the inherent worth and dignity of all while still maintaining their personal beliefs and very welcome as a friend. For the serious stuff: Anything on Earth-based or Goddess spirituality, Native American history and mythology, Celtic spirituality. John Shelby Spong has turned the Church Universal on its ear by blowing away a lot of the dogma; Scott Cunningham, Elizabeth Pepper and Doreen Valiente (the original Ameth) for a gentle introduction to the Craft; Ellen Dugan (the Garden Witch), Konstintinos (Can you say Nightkind?), Christopher Penczak for his wisdom on protection magick and healing. For Brain Candy: Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta character, Jan Karon's Mitford series, any Orson Scott Card novel, true crime/historical mystery. The three Body Farm novels by Jefferson Bass and the two non-fiction volumes that inspired them by Dr. William Bass, the founder of the real 'Body Farm' at the University of Tennessee. Graphic,educational and fascinating.

Beliefs / Practices: Occultist, Pagan, Witch, Wiccan, Other Spirituality, Native American Spirituality

Other Beliefs/Practices: I try to meditate everyday. I pray a daily-more like a running conversation with the Goddess. I conjure for luck, prosperity and health for myself, and leave an offerings in various little shrines and sacred places around the house. I read Buddhist and Taoist teachings, but I am a Wiccan that attends and participates in the life of a Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, where I am Chair of the Worship Committee and guest preach.

Hobbies: Some of my hobbies are : sewing, sculpting,painting, making prayer beads, writing, camping, hiking and photography. I love to cook anything-Italian,Chinese, French,Greek and vegetarian. I adore cats and dragons. I love to cook and entertain.

Heroes: The Dali Lama is the purest spirit I know of currently living. Jacques Cousteau advanced the exploration of our oceans and introduced us to a new silent world. Jim Henson gave us love and laughter through his Muppets. Mother Teresa taught compassion and selflessness. John Denver was a beautiful soul who sang his truth authentically and was a personal friend.

I love animals, but cats and dragons are my favorites. oh, yeah...Hallowe'en is my favorite holiday since I was little.

In music, I listen to everything from Classical to Rock to the music of indigenous peoples. I adore Goth and dark Power Pop and old time jazz. It's whatever mood I'm in at the moment. Goddess help me, I love Christmas music...Mannheim Steamroller gets props for innovation in my book...Rick Springfield got over Jesse's Girl a long time ago and has turned out some of the finest crafted Pop Rock in the last three decades.

I don't watch too much TV or go to the movies often, but Titanic is a favorite(I keep having the same dream about being on board the ship. I'd like to think it's a memory from a previous life and not some weird PTSD thing!);Circle of Friends( It's Just so friggin' Irish);The Water Horse( Great fantasy!), Anything engaging, not gory, and fun. I can watch the 'Night on Bald Mountain' segment of Disney's Fantasia over and over, and I adore Practical Magic and Hocus Pocus because they're funny. Demons and Angels is my current favorite. I am a sucker for old musicals and Christmas movies.

Dislikes: Betrayal and dishonesty. Witch Wars and those who start them. Rape of the environment. Hatred in any form.
