My heros are people who will stand up "for the principle of the thing"...even if it rocks a few boats and causes a few waves. My heros are people with a backbone. My heros also include women who have stood up against the majority to raise the cause for Women's Rights and the Mother Goddess, as well as Paganism in general-- Z Budapest, Carol P. Christ, Starhawk, Shekhinah MountainWater, Gloria Steinem, Susan B. Anthony, Sybil Leek...and many others whose names might not be as well known, but whose spirits shine bright for the cause.
