I am a natural, hereditary witch! A Healer.
When I was a child, my grandmother planted a love for gardening in me. She told me that plants and animals were life, with feelings, and they were alive. She showed me how to care for them, talk to them, and how to work with the phases of the moon getting best results. She taught me how to nurture. My time with grandma was so special. I didn't know 'til yeas later she was a WITCH!!! (my parents were both very Christian).
My mom taught me about herb's and how important they were for staying healthy. It wasn't till later in life that I learned how to heal with herb's, (including Marijuana :p) but again it was my mom who gave me my first "how to with heal with herb's" book.
It's strange because I wasn't fully aware of my true love for gardening 'til my mother in-law came along; by this time my grandma was gone and Ilse was the only matriarch in my life. She pretty much showed me the fun side of my garden, like in the winter months when most plants and flowers are sleeping, you can dig them up and move them around! Just like rearranging the furniture in your house!! OMG! This opened a whole new love, I played around with every piece of dirt and plant I could get my hands on : ) so much fun! I guess you could say change is VERY important to me, when things stay the same for too long, I have to do something about it.
I have 4 children who are not children anymore, a son 23, and three daughters 21, 15, and 13. My children are the light of my life.
My son is the one who peaked my interest in Magick! When he was a teenager he wanted to study Witchcraft! I was horrified and scared, I always told my kids they could study any religion they wanted to, and that's what he wanted. So of course I had to learn everything I could about it so I knew what he was getting into. That's when I found out about Nature Magick, which made the connection to my grandmother and it changed my life forever = ) I have been studying, learning, and growing ever since.
I have so many favorite book, that I can't name them all, so I will name a few of my favorite Authors. Nora Roberts<3 Robert Patterson, Stephanie Plum, Dorothy Morrison, Ellen Dugan, Bill Harris, Eckheart Tolle, LaSara FireFox, Sylvia Browne, and many more =)
My hero's are the people in this world who care about our Mother Earth, and Humanity as a whole. Those people who are doing what they can with peace and love to make our place in this world better. The people that want to make a difference.
And Parent's who teach their children about life and love, and death and war, and how everything has a polar opposite so you can't have one without the other, but you can choose how far you are willing to go in either direction. Life, and how we live is a choice, that affects everything and everyone around us.
How did you find PaganSpace?
I found the link when I googled Dorothy Morrison's name.
Hey there, sorry for the delay. I haven't been on the site for a while. My husband loves Godsmack. I like them too, but I honestly don't listen to them. I do like heavier music. Some of my favorites are Mr. Bungle, Ministry, the Melvins, Rammstein. I love lots of genres. Lately I've been cruising to the classical music station when I drive to and fro work. It's calming. I go through moods where I switch from various genres to something completely different...
