So one of my favorite authors is Alice Hoffman. She wrote Practical Magic and a whole lot of other fun mystical books. I just finished Starlight Confessions and it was amazing as usual. She has such a gift for making the characters interesting and unique and lovable. Empath Curiosity

I have always felt deeply for others to the point where I can feel their pain or joy as if it were my own. This can be emotionally exhausting or uplifting as one could image. What can anyone tell me about traits of empaths? Are we born with this trait or do we learn it? Let me know about your own experiences. I'm Very curious about it.
