But before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean." -Bob Marley...Well, my name is Anne, I'm 25 years old, married with a great husband who is also my best friend & together we have a 1 yr old baby girl, Ailey Alana. I also have a 5 year old daughter from a previous marriage who lives with her grandparents, who I miss horribly. Growing up in foster care exposed me to a lot of different churches & beliefs. I lived with Mennonites, Catholics, Pentecostals, & also Pagan families. It was when I turned 14 that I was removed from the Catholic family by the Child Protection Services & exposed to Pagan beliefs in my new foster family. I am a solitary Pagan, fairly new to my town with minimal courage to try & make friends with anyone past our front door. Many Pagans can probably relate to my feeling like I have to defend my beliefs every time someone doesn't understand. This town is tiny & so I prefer to spend my social life on the Internet where I don't have to worry about face to face confrontations & ridicule simply because what I believe may be different than what someone else believes. I am also vegetarian, raising my daughter to love, respect, & care for animals with compassion, & to give back as much as we can to Mother Earth. I'm an EARPS (exotic animal rescue) volunteer. My favorite things are art, nature, music & animals. I work with polymer clay & create different things, mostly pendants & pieces for jewelry which I hand paint. I LOVE to design jewelry for people! I bead & knot macrame as well, sew, & make other things. As much as I seem antisocial, I promise I'm not. I would really love a supportive group of friends who are true to themselves and others. I L♥VE being in nature, getting my hands dirty & scraping up my knees in the woods, my favorite place.

Well, I'm a huge animal lover. I'm an EARPS (exotic animal rescue) volunteer. I love nature, being surrounded by the beauty of Mother Nature makes me feel at peace more than anything. I love anything that allows me to be creative. Photography, beading, clay, painting, yard work. You name it.

After struggling for many years with with asthma & then lung disease, my mom passed away March 30 2008 around 1:15 pm with me & her best friend Paul by her side. I still feel like at any moment she's going to be calling my phone or walking into our house. I miss her so much.

The story of my mom’s life isn’t completely clear to me as I have never lived with her to see first hand exactly how things were. What I do know is that she was absolutely amazing. She had overcome things that most of us will never have to face in this life.

In the last few years, my mom became a best friend to me, I could tell her anything. Even though we had our differences I still cannot get over how much we had in common despite the fact that we spent the majority of the years apart with no contact. I have many memories of her that I will cherish forever & even when I look back at photographs, it still seems magical to me just like it did in that moment.
I'm so thankful for my mom's time with Ailey, my mom loved her so much!

She's now completley blind, and had developed some type of large tumorish lumps under her chest (between her front paws basically). She's still getting around ok, but is basically unhandleable. She's blind, and what she cant see, she just bites at. Still alert and pretty livley, but probably doesn't have too long left. I have another naked rat now too, her name is Hannah. She's just got the tiniest bit of fuzz on the top of her head, so cute!!! she's probably about a year old now (Remy will be 2 in july). Other than that, things are good!! Dont get on here much anymore to catch up!! I'll make a point of getting here more often!!

She's always had a problem with her eyes bleeding but now there's a thick white film over her one eye. Have you ever encountered something like this? Doesn't seem painful to her at all, just makes her a bit edgy not being able to see as well as she could. Oh, and we tried to save a baby robin yesterday. Piper found it on the street, still alive but only half ot of the egg. We saw one of it's siblings not far off, and not alive, we figure something attacked the nest. We didn't think he'd last long ut we coulnd't just leave him there in the street! Sadly, he didn't make it though the night but at least he didn't die alone on the street. How's things with you??
