If Understanding and empathy were better employed, the world would be a better place. I believe that no person has the right to judge another without first having been in their situation and literally having been them. You have not walked in their shoes, you do not know how they felt, what they thought, what they feared therefore you have no right to judge their actions.
I believe in showing respect and tolerance for all beliefs. I am very openminded and even if I cannot accept another's point of view, I at least try to understand where they are coming from and show respect for that. However, sometimes the stuff people come up with just makes you shake your head and say "What a dumbass". By having your own points of view and opinions challenged you may be forced to re-evaluate your own and hopefully grow as a person. Always question and always analyze. I try to understand other's points and if one point (that goes against my own) rings with me or has a very strong argument presented for it, it often makes me evaluate what I think and sometimes change how I think or feel. However, some of my beliefs I believe will never change because they are an integral part of me.
I want to grow as a person: physically, mentally, and definately spiritually.
I love humor and laughing. I love learning and my family is the most important thing in the world to me. I am an equal balance of dark and light-every characteristic and trait I have, I usually have the opposite one as well!! I can be very kind and loving, yet I can be cold or mean. I am a pessimist yet I am also an optimist. I also am someone who takes life with a grain of salt. If you don't laugh, you'll cry :P

I don't have a lot of money to give to charity and I live in a rural area where the nearest place to volunteer (like our area animal shelter) is a 40 mile drive. So being able to volunteer and help charities, people, and animals online was really exciting to me because I could help others like I wanted to with the limited resources I have.

Does a coward feel shame for his actions? If he did, wouldn't that mean he is not a coward since he is going against his own nature? And yet maybe he knows he is better than that and that is why he feels shame. There was a lot more to my little philosphical (I know I spelled that wrong) discussion in my head, but I don't remember it since I was on the edge of sleep.

I have just come to a realization. Usually when someone does not like me I get upset and try to be more likable. Well you know what, this is who I am-I will not change for anybody, and if you don't like it, you can just fuck off! I love who I am, and I may do things that you don't approve of but I have many good characteristics too-too bad you didn't open your mind enough to find out!

I think of you often and send good vibes your way. Were you able to get any better info. about the Rainbow Family? It has been a while since I went looking for where the National Gathering will be held this year, but it should be available soon. I have been trying to find folks who would help to preserve sixty acres near Lake Superior. For five years our non-profit, ECO-Tours of Wisconsin inc. has been tree planting and restoring forest across Northeast Wisconsin. We have been able to keep our costs down and make our donations stretch through a combination of creativity and resourcefulness strengthened by the goodwill of many in-kind donors.
Recovering denuded land is much more costly however than securing pristine forest. Planting trees to bring a forest back into existence can cost as much as $3000 and take many years to implement. That is why we are looking into putting this property into permanent protected status. This could be done for about half the price! Just this week we have started fund raising in earnest to secure the land.
Any help that you could give us in the form of donations or fund raising would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, the land would provide a wilderness outpost for gatherings, a seed bank for native tree seed and a buffer between the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and any future development.
