About Me:
Well, what's to say really? I was never very good at describing myself to people anyway. Too much in there and don't really have the right words to say it out loud.

Too many thoughts..., they all get in the way....
Too many words..., just don't know how to say....

I'm from the Boston area. Though I was born in Cleveland, I came here in '83', and grew up here. I would consider myself a local and native New Englander. It certainly is home.

The environment is my personal passion and always has been, (even before it 'became' cool to be green), and I am certainly applauding the new shift in popularity and comon conciousness to a more Mother Earth friendly attitude in general. I work for the DEM/DCR, (Massachusetts Department of Environmental Managment/Department of Conservation & Recreation). So, fortunately, I have found a job that pays me to do what it is I love the most., (although it doesn't pay much =S)

I am married and have a daughter, now twelve. She's my best friend though perhaps she doesn't always realize it. I also have a really cool family. Great parents, who really taught me to have an open mind, and two cool older sisters. Beautiful nieces and nephews too =).

Music.., Hmmmmm.... I really can get into anything, except rap really. And I can even tolerate that, though it took me a while. I actually majored in music all through school, theory and appreciation. I played brass, french horn and trumpet mostly, in band, orchestra and jazz band. I still dabble, but sadly it is only a quiet hobby.

Books..., I have alwys been a huge fan of fantasy, and Tolkien was always my favorite. I particularly like R.A. Salvatore, and that whole genre. I am an avid fan of old fashioned, 1 and 2E, Dungeons & Dragons. I have been gaming as both a DM and PC for the better part of 25 years now. Yeah, all that new stuff is cool, especially computer and PlayStation, etc... games, but nothing really compares to sitting around the table with your best friends, books, character sheets, dice, pizza and soda. You old timers out there will totally know what I mean =).

Movies and TV. Well..., first and foremost...., STAR WARS!!, as a kid, wow!! I was never the same again. Loved The Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson did an unbelievable job and the trilogy is truely a masterpiece. I am not real big on TV, and for the most part enjoy educational channels such as National Geographic, Discovery, (especially the Discovery Civilizations), History and Science. The only show I really follow is 'House'. I love that show.

As for how I found my way to my paganistic values. I already wrote about in my first blog entry, and am too lazy to do it again =S.

Well, I guess that's enough about me. Anyone reading is probably bored now, and more than likely hasn't even read down this far. Plus, I have to go hit the shower =P.

Of Time, Hippie Hay and Bow Waves

Posted on December 3, 2007 at 3:30pm 0 Comments

Okay, Once again I am back mulling over the subject of time and it's relativity, especially it's relativity to me. My friends all say I think too much and maybe I should lay off the 'hippie hay', but don't think so. So here I sit, coffee in hand, along with the hippie hay, and Pink Floyd streaming languidly through the back of my consciousness as it streams through the speakers, positioned just so for optimum acoustics, above my head. Maybe it's a combination of the tunes, coffee, and the…

What Are You Practicing?

Posted on November 5, 2007 at 8:47pm 1 Comment

This was a piece I wrote some weeks back when posed the question by a fellow pagan, of somewhat divergent ritual, "What exactly do you practice?" In meeting so many people, of late, who are either finding their way to a more 'pagan faith' of sorts, and in talking to those who are now long established within the community and culture of 'paganism', (and I use the word paganism loosely as an all encompassing term in reference to any earth based faith by any name), I still often… Continue

My Dark and Lonely Street

My Dark and Lonely Street

Innocence lost..,

the truth be given.

Torn from a soul..,

Now very well hidden.

That spark of youthful zeal..,

A new adventure.

Replaced now...,

With fear and trepidation.

A meandering traveler..,

Lost upon life's…

An Inspiring Message from George Carlin ~ sadly, too true

Posted on November 5, 2007 at 4:20pm 0 Comments

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We…
