Greetings to those out there who may be reading this. I am an artist and self studying aerospace engineer. I have always been of an engineering or technical mindset, always interested in how things work or why certain things are designed the way they are. In my youth I had always perused creative and artistic endeavors for my elective classes. Classes such as artwork, wood-shop, home economics, pottery, video technologies & production. Later I included more technical classes in my elective choices such as Technology and Drafting. In collage I have pursued classes in Engineering, Artwork and Business.
I have an open mind about most things, always curious about a wide variety of subjects and interests. I am an intellectual with an analytical mind. I try to analyze most situations, figure out the variables and determine the best course of action. This does not necessarily make me slow to react to a given situation or dawdle on a problem. Once I have made up my mind to do something I am very quick to act. At times I can be impulsive, acting on subconscious whim, though I do not foregoe the analytical process entirely during these times. Sometimes, I try to follow my instincts, even when I can find no logical reasoning behind them. Experience has proven that going with my instincts over logic is best most of the time if the instinct is strong enough.
My one overriding and driving goal in life is to work and live in space. I have had this desire since I was a small child, before the 3rd grade. I have always had an interest in aviation and space. My father is an aviation mechanic and my first source of information about air planes and how they work. Since then I have been a US Army soldier working in Field Artillery. I have been near homeless, then back in the military as a truck driver. My second enlisted ended in early discharge but my underlining desires for space had reawakened. At one point I had thought to become a NASA astronaught. However after some research that has changed. I want to run and own my own company and through it, accomplish my goal of working and living in space. To accomplish that goal I have started studying the aviation world more closely, purchasing advanced texts on aircraft design, aircraft structures, the space environment and space craft. The rising interests of exploring space in the commercial and private markets has given me some hope. The goal I have set out for myself is not an easy one. Most people would even go as far as to call it impossible with my lack of credentials. In the larger whole of the world and professionals, I am a nobody with no potential it seams and no money. In a world where it seams you can't know something unless an educational institute tought it to you and given their blessing on a piece of paper, I am an uneducated idiot. However I have decided that I will persue this goal anyway. My two greatest heroes and inspiration in this are the Wright Brothers. They did not have higher education or big business or government funding pr backing. They were ignored by the media and in some cases called frauds until they demonstrated their machines. The world stopped laphing then and started taking them seriously.
