I've read in one of my Wicca books that's it's good to call the Goddess/God into your circle when doing spell work. What confused me is it said you can opt to call the quarters or not for this. Can…Continue
"Calling quarters in a way of consecrating your Space before calling down any deities. It can be used to honor the elements, dragons, watchtowers, or any combination of beings that you find an affinity towards. Many paths adhere to the idea that the…"

"I think what I was failing to explain was that I was taught that calling the quarters is an initial part of the circle casting process. I know there are a great many variances on circle casting and I'm not trying to argue a point. That's…"

"I use fairy tradition eclectically incorporating some runic, some Qhabballah, and some occult. It's a work in progress. I've not seen a complete fairy theory yet though. Does that satisfy your question?"
I'm new to Wicca and I am looking for advice on the practice.I'm African American and I live in Florida and am currently studying to get my real estate license. I have a few mental health issues, the worse right now being PTSD. I also recently discovered that I am of Sioux descent on my grandmother's side. I am also interested in learning about some of their religious practices and beliefs to see if I can incorporate some of them in my Wiccan practices such as gods and ceremonial practices.
Beliefs / Practices
I grew up Baptist but do not agree with their practices and beliefs. I am still not sure whether I consider myself Christian but I do hold on to some of their common beliefs.
Reading, music, singing, I used to play guitar if I would like to pick that up again.
How did you find PaganSpace?
Word of mouth through another Wiccan practitioner I speak with long distance.
