"I'm sorry Brian, but I will not be at the Heartland Festival this year, we have a newborn in the family and being the Grandma, I am the built in baby sister, until Mom is well enough to go on her own."
I'll be in your town very soon playing a concert at Eliot Unitarian Universalist Chapel on Sunday June 2nd at 7 PM. If you can make it, it would be really nice to meet you in person!
Will you be heading to…"

In a nutshell (a place many of us have emerged from) I am a full time musician with 7 solo albums out currently. Many Waters (1997), Love Song for Terra (1999), Force of Nature (2001 or 2), The Nature of Light (2005), Tree of Life (2009), A Child's Garden (Dec 2010) and the most recent Seven Magic Spells 2012.
There's also a live concert DVD released in 2004, a group CD with Blue Feather, Dunlap and Henke called A Crown of Stars and a compilation CD I co-produced and have a tune on called The Woodchoppers Ball which came out in 2005.
I am in the process of writing new material for 2 upcoming albums. One with pianist Marge Adler for the Classical Crossover realm and another solo CD that will be called Seven Magic Spells.
Although I do travel all over the US, my main region is the midwest and I play at an enourmous range of venues, concerts, restaurants, clubs, festivals (lots of pagan ones too) a few coffeehouses, house concerts, an occasional wedding or handfasting and private partys too.
I have played places as varied as Severance Hall, Blossom Music Center and the Akron Civic Theater to Chick Fila' and some of the worst dives (although I've been pretty successfuly avoiding dives in recent years) you could possibly imagine.
For those of you who care about such things, I play a Larravee' 6 string acoustic, a 27 string double neck harp guitar called The Dreamcaster and when sitting in with others a 71 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe.
I am primarily a solo, instrumental acoustic guitarist and my music can be heard on New Age and Folk radio shows all over the World.

I have no real hobbies. I guess my job would be a hobby except for the wonderful fact that it's my job.
I have an organic garden in the backyard and love to hike in all seasons, but those things are more like breathing than hobbies......
Albert Einstein, David Hatcher Childress (a rogue archaologist and one of my favorite authors too), Phil Keaggy (one of about a thousand guitar influences) Beethoven (one of about a thousand composer influences), my children and Grandchildren.
I'll have to add to this list mabey later.
