About Me:
I've been interested in Wicca (or witchcraft), and convinced that I was supposed to be a witch, since I was a little kid, which is unusual for a 6-year-old whose parents are fundamentalist Christians. I have been reading about/studying/practicing the Craft for close to 20 years, but I've been "out-of-practice" for several years. Now, though, I'm coming back "all-out" and open! :-) I live in Macomb, Illinois. I'm originally from Jackson, Michigan, but I was in the Navy and was married to Navy, so I've lived all over the place, from Orlando to Chicago to San Diego and Hawaii. I love to travel, and learn about different cultures and religions. I love nature, camping, motorcycles, fine art, poetry, literature, classic cars, and water (I'm a Pisces). I'm currently attending college online for a degree in Organizational Psychology, and hope to continue on to the Masters level.

Favorite Books
I love just about anything(!), but I'll try to narrow it down. The Mists of Avalon (Marion Zimmer Bradley) is one of my all-time favorites; anything by John Grisham, James Patterson, Lisa Jackson, or Stephen King can keep me engrossed; and I find anything about Paganism/Wicca, history, various world religions, and other cultures to be irresistible. I also really enjoy the classics of Chaucer, Dickens, and the Bronte Sisters. I collect antique/classic books and cookbooks, and am a catalog junkie.

I have just started to learn the art of Reiki. I first heard about it, believe it or not, when I was a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy. I attended a two-hour class on Reiki Healing that the Navy offered as part of a one day alternative healing practices workshop.

I've Always Wanted To:

My dreams for the future are that 

1. I could open a shop to provide Occult/Pagan/Wiccan books, supplies, and gifts, as well as crystals, loose herbs and teas, a small amount of all-natural, whole foods, and things like that to the Pagan community in my area. It would also be a gathering place for seekers/followers of alternate religious paths for like-minded socializing and events.

and

2. I could be a Doctor of Naturopathy, offering alternative, natural healing to those who need it.

 

And you know, I had a dream last night in which I lived in an All-Pagan community. In order to live there, one had to be a Pagan of any orientation. Money was not needed as everyone there just took care of each other with their gifts and vocations, and it was self-sustaining with its own solar energy and water, fruit and vegetable gardens, orchards, and farms. I would LOVE to live in such a place. Do you think this would be something possible to do, and if so, what are your ideas on how to go about starting it? Please share your thoughts.
