Thank you for the opportunity to mingle into your light and into your shadows. I am 46, happily divorced and work as a mental health aid and am studying towards becoming a licensed professional counselor for the dually-diagnosed.
I am a Father and a Grandfather and am very close to all of my family.
I was very interested in the occult as a child and always sought to
answer the mysteries of mind and spirit. I often felt that I could
sense spirits although not see them. At 10 years old I read a comic
book about a Pan statue that had come alive and helped a little boy
and felt a strange drawing feeling to this Pan. Around the same time
I had seen the movie "The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao" and I was intrigued by
the Pan and Medusa characters in that movie. At 12 years old I was
fascinated by Chinese and Japanese mysticism. At the age of 17 I
attended the Lotus Center in OKC and also did meditations and
festivals at the Sikh Gudwara.
I began attending the First Unitarian Church of Oklahoma City in 1990. There
I met some Unitarian Pagans that had a Pagan group (OKC CUUPS {Covenant of
Unitarian Universalist Pagans}). I also happened at that time to attend a lectureat the University of Oklahoma hosted by the Anthropology department about Witchcraft and Wicca.
I also attended CUUPS in Norman, OK after that.
I started studying Dianic Witchcraft first with the book "Positive
Magic" by Marion Weinstein In 1993 I began initiation to the first
level of the Georgian Tradition of the Craft After close one year of study
things were not coming together for me with the studies and I discontinued
my Georgian training at that time.
Soon after that I traveled to Thailand and stayed there for almost
6 months. I traveled all over Thailand and went to many ancient
temples and I visited with hill tribes and several hill tribe Shaman.
I was asked by the Akha tribe Shaman in the North of Chiang Rai to
participate in a 3rd quarter moon ritual in which I invoked Pan. It
was quite an experience and although I was a bit queasy at the
sacrifice of a dog, and several chickens, I knew from my anthropology
studies that this is simply how the tribes slaughter their meat and
distribute it to the village. I would not "enforce" my belief that the Goddess
is "the Mother of all Living and therefore requires no sacrifice."
Try telling hungry hill-tribe people with machetes that they are not
going to get their dog stew or their fried chicken wings!
Upon my return to Norman, OK in 1995 I became President of Norman CUUPS. Since then I have been in 2 covens that have both simply faded, served in 2003 on the Norman CUUPS Council (we no longer have a president), and am currently in office on the Council again in 2009.
CUUPS has been meeting since 1991 and we still meet regularly in Norman on the Saturdays closest to the Sabbats and Esbats.

Witch Head Nebula
As the name implies, this reflection nebula associated with the star Rigel looks suspiciously like a fairytale crone. Formally known as IC 2118 in the constellation Orion, the Witch Head Nebula glows primarily by light reflected from the star. The color of this very blue nebula is caused not only by blue color of its star, but also because the dust grains reflect blue light more efficiently than red.
