About Me:

I'm a college student majoring in English and history. I love to read and research and I've researched religions my entire life. I'm tolerant of almost everyone and won't deny anyone their right to believe however they wish. I'm an essayist and write about religion, politics, and policy as well as history and whatever else strikes my fancy. My current research project involved researching Arthurian legends and their impact on various groups of readers during different time periods. It might end up turning into a quite large work. We'll just have to wait and see.

My specialties in history are World War II, the Russian Revolutions, and genocide studies. In English, I specialize in literary studies with an interest in the ideological structures that create individual texts and the cultural aspects affecting the creation of literary movements.

I'm recently married and my husband, Mike is Pagan as well, following a mostly Native American Shamanic path with some elements of Druidism as well. I follow a Goddess oriented path centered on working with a few specific Goddesses.

I am also a crafter and crochet and knit regularly. I make several patterns that are Pagan oriented and often off these up for sale among Pagan friends. I also crochet and knit items for various charities, mainly to support preemie children and their families.

I follow a Goddess based path. I have no true name for my path. My practices are not of a traditional lot and I often do not know what I am doing in my workings. Though I have studied for years, I have only been a practicing Pagan since December of 2003. I do not know where my path will go, and though I occasionally have my doubts, I never fear its end. My path does tend to change, and I am currently at a crossroads in it and my life as I work to find where I am supposed to be.

Reading, writing, crocheting, knitting, research, history, belly dancing, languages, learning about other countries and languages

My dad, Donnie--He was there for me when I needed him and he still is, even in death.

My sister, Donna--She lost her right leg above the knee when she and her husband were hit by a drunk driver in Spring 2003. She lives on, not letting the comments of other "able bodied" people get her down. Despite her disability, she still raises her children, fighting through her pain on a daily basis.

Tolerance, I enjoy being around accepting people

Dislikes

Bigotry and intolerance, child abusers, drunk drivers, genocide and any acts thereof and the governments that refuse to acknowledge them

I really don't like people who try to change themselves to fit some "image" our entertainment industry produces and shoves down our throats.

I think our world could do with a few less video game baby sitters and a few more attentive parents

Hurry up and read it...Really

When we live such busy days, how can we put into active practice those things which matter to us most of all? I ask this not for an answer, but for an examination. How is it that we manage to make time for religious/deity/magical/etc practice? Is it something that can be planned or do we even have to actively practice it?
