About Me:: I'm a seeker, always reading, always learning. I am a lover of Avalon and all things Celtic. I'm a first grade teacher and my little ones teach ME something about myself every day. I love what I do and feel blessed to have such a fun (but hard) job. I have one daughter who is 21 and is in her fourth year at the University of Florida majoring in French & minoring in TESOL. She is my light in the world.
I love to travel, especially to Europe. Provence is amazing! England is fun! Paris and London are fabulous! I have found my way back to the sacred shores of Avalon and am working through the healing and sisterhood that it offers.

Likes: Honesty, vegetables, the innocence of children, cleanliness, learning new languages, New York City, Broadway shows, the excitement of Times Square, shopping, Middle Eastern food, traveling to faraway places, smoking hookah, mountain streams, London & Paris, Asheville, NC, Provence, France, taking walks in nature........so many things I'm sure I'll add more!!

Dislikes: Snobs, the smell of cigarette smoke, liars, cheaters, users, meat, people who don't take the time to listen.

Death of a lifelong friend

I need to get this out so I'm writing it all here. I just got a phone call a few hours ago that a friend that I have had since 4th grade has died. She and I were best friends all through elementary school, Jr. High and High School. We went to the same University but sort of lost touch at that time. In our adult years we renewed our friendship.
