My favorite book is a handwritten book with very well-worn edges to which I often refer for advice, memories, and inspiration.
Other Favorites: The Mabinogion by Lady Charlotte Guest, The White Goddess by Robert Graves, The Golden Bough by Sir Frazier, Whispers from the Woods by Sandra Kynes, Celebrating the Seasons by Ashleen O'Gaea, Creating Circles and Ceremonies by Oberon & Morning Glory Zell-Ravenheart
Authors: Doreen Valiente, Scott Cunningham, Janet & Stewart Farrar
Y Gwir Yn Erbyn Byd ~~
I was born on the many days of my many births.
I grew up each time and here I am
doing what I have always done before.
If you close your eyes and sit quietly,
you might just remember me.

If you do not want to know the answer,
then why have you asked the question?
If you do not want to know the truth,
then why do you claim to seek it?
If you want to be placated with what you want to hear,
then seek out friends who will humor you as you wish.
If you have not the strength for the truth,
then do not travel to speak to the oracle.
For the oracle will tell you the truth and what you
need to hear and not what you wish to hear.
Once told, then the loss of ignorance cannot be regained
no matter how hard you might try.

Those who have stood beside me in light and in the dark.
Those who have found fearlessness by going beyond their fears to do the right thing.
Those who have heard the call of Herne as He journeys through the Forest.
Those who are in the Service of the Lady.
All who have walked down hidden paths and
have climbed heights quietly in the night.

And just when I have managed to convince my youngest students that I am too old and senile to be of good use anymore, I jump up and raise my hands to the sky without athame, wand, crystal or sword, and the Goddess descends and shines through me as the maid, mother, and crone – each separate and yet still as one. Then my poor students are amazed at how one as old as I can be so young.

When studies of science and the occult are reunited, the world might just find that it is getting somewhere.

"We fulfill the demands of nature in a much better way
than do you Roman women," the Celtic lady retorted disdainfully,
"for we consort openly with the best men, whereas you
let yourselves be debauched in secret by the vilest."
~~ Dio Cassius quoting the reply of a Celtic wife
to a jeering accusation of promiscuity from a Roman matron.

I found it by wytchery, I say! It was wytchery!
