Devil Sexton said… Ah, yes horse riding is something I've desperately been meaning to do, just always busy or traveling and it gets set to the back burner. It seems something that would be rather enjoyable, and for all my love of nature I am also very much a city person... As I love the energy of social interaction and people just as much, I tend to be very balanced in these aspects.
I try to be balanced in just about everything ;)
I love traveling, and nightlife (not necessarily clubs or anything anymore, just places that are alive and full of life at night!) hence why I fell in love with Vegas.... I needed away from a lot of people I knew in Los Angeles as they weren't helping me grow, they were keeping me grounded in a... non-positive way thus the movement to Vegas was necessary :) Though they're good people and mean well, sometimes a person needs different things to flourish properly :) Hence....
I've a friend who just moved to Santa Cruz she loves it, somewhat of a neo-hippy and all... and I've heard of a lot of people moving happily to Oregon.
There are mountains out here I've been meaning to take a nice camping trip to and experience :) I'll probably wait til winter so I can embrace the snow n such, perhaps lure some travelers into checking it out as well.
I find nature a great place to reflect and write, but the energy of people to share journeys with is often just as important, would you agree? :)

Devil Sexton said… Ah, happy belated birthday, didn't even notice when I sent the first message. Hope it was well celebrated...
There's plenty of good spots, not much nature besides the beaches and places like Griffith Park in Los Angeles, though the Gardens I never made it to, perhaps I will during one of my visits out there... (I used to visit Vegas five times a year when I was living in Los Angeles, I imagine I'll be doing something similar to visit LA now that it's the other way around, lol) I've heard people talk a lot about the Botanical Gardens, mostly just slipped my mind....
In Los Angeles, I loved the hidden little beaches you could find in the south bay area, there were so many little pockets you could descend to from Palos Verdes which equated to a hike and then you could find a place to quietly hang out, reflect/etc.
Still loving nature and being in Los Angeles, must be awfully conflicting :P

Oh confusing, in other news, did you find interesting circles/groves/etc, etc in Los Angeles or fly solo? There are a lot of good people into various aspects of spirituality I came across during my multiple times living there, one of the redeeming qualities of the place :)
