I fall like silk
Made of quiet light
Swimming up to catch a breath
Covered in foamy white
As her sister she held me
So I could drift in the salty Breeze
When I was lost I looked West
To my mother in her fullness or her darkness
Home on her softly beating heart
Waves tickle my feet
Above black and blue night
Is pierced by the suns of far away
They named her bodies
Stood guard at what was theirs
Yet they were dazed by her mysteries
They dove below and discovered
What has fascinated man for centuries
Perhaps the deepest secret
Is just how vast and unknown
All of what she really holds.
I left land’s known to discover my own depths
It is now that I turn for shore
The sounds of life beckoning me
It is the rthymn of the ocean that will dance in me
I’ll dance again and again
Remembering the weightlessness
And the perfection of woman and sea
