i think they call it genetic memory, what is Canned? I love celtic, heavy on the drums and rhythm
I have always believed that beside normal memory we have something like a tribal memory.Sound is one of the first senses we experience in the womb we learn to recognize the voices of our mothers etc. The same is felt our ancestors used music to make us a community, to march us to battle, to celebrate the changing of seasons, and to recognize the passing to a new exsistance this was so much a part of who we were it transcends time itself. Like the first time I hears Scotland the brave played on the bagpipes I was only 5 or so and I started marching to the tune if you like Celtic music check out Canned
Welsh is a possibility....... I am very drawn to most things celtic, songs for instance, never having heard some of the more traditional tunes, most seem very familiar when I hear them for the first time
If you are interested, you are welcome to check out our new group - http://www.paganspace.net/group/TheTroth, This group is to be the "outpost" of the Official website of The Troth (www.thetroth.org). We in the Troth practice the Germanic/Norse religion of Heathenry, commonly referred to as Asatru.
