Climbing the Family Tree

In between arguments on PS today, I became curious about the McKenzie branch of my family tree. Bow to the powers of Google. I was able to trace back to Gilbert McKenzie, born 1740 in Scotland. He emigrated from Kintyre in 1774 at the age of 34. According to the ship's manifesto, he left with his wife Margarett (Mary) McKenzie, and was a farmer. His reason for leaving Scotland? "High Rents and better Encouragement".

Ethnicity and my pagan path

I'm not braining well today, so I'll try to explain this as best I can. I'm biracial. On my father's side I'm African-American. (I hate that term by the way. It takes too long to type) on my mother's side I'm French, Scots, Irish, Welsh, English, Cherokee. For the purpose of simplicity, we'll just say I'm half black and half white.
