About Me:

I'm basically Pagan but I mix in some Taoism, Yoga and New Thought.

As far as deities, I'm pretty devoted to Aphrodite and Pan.

Dionysus has seemed to recently step into my life, I think. I'm still checking that out. The thing is that I was making a wand and I glued a pine cone to the tip of it. I found out later that Dionysus carries a staff that's topped off with a pine cone. I'm not sure if that means anything, but I think it might. Hmmm!

I've been, I guess, looking at Paganism for a while but, honestly, I never really practiced all that much. I was also part of the Feri tradition for a while but, again, I slacked off.

I'm more serious now and at the moment I'm working through Be a Goddess, as well as, Goddess Initiation, both by Francesca De Grandis. I'm also on her list and so I can communicate with her along with all the other people on there which is nice. So far everything's going great and I'm doing much better. So I feel good about that. Perhaps I just had to find my thing and everything else I've looked into, like Feri, just wasn't it.

Francesca's a Feri initiate herself but the program in the books is different than what I was involved with if that has anything to do with my enjoyment of it all. Plus she has her own tradition anyway.

Outside of Paganism I'm also an artist. I draw and am planning on going to school to brush up on that (there's a lot I could do with learning) and then I want to learn to oil paint.

I have a grandmother who is an artist herself and is and inspiration to me. She lives quite a ways away from me but I can always call and write. :-D

So that's basically me. I may write more I think of anything else.

Fire Poem

I wrote this while I was studying in the Feri tradition, while working with Fire. I was staring into the fire in the fireplace and this came up. Most Pagans seem to love it, others no. :-)

Very short, autumn thought.

I looked outside and saw that the leaves of the trees are finally turning to their Autumn colors (I've been waiting for that to happen) and I thought:

"The trees are going into their Autumn slumber but before they do so they give us a beautiful show. Then they give us another when they wake back up in Spring time."

I like that thought, lol. :-)
