"Real Witches don't Hex" they say, and I say....
"Witches just don't seem like Witches these days"
This was a comment I made a while ago on another Pagan forum and it got many varied responses. However, I still stand by that comment, if not more so now. The reason I said it was because I was sick and tired of hearing "Real Witches don't Hex" and "If you Hex it comes back 3 x 3" and blah, blah, blah...

GET OFF MY FRIENDS LIST (ha, that got your attention) ;) and a rant for good measures...
If you were on my friends list but don't see yourself any more it's because I've removed you. It's not because I've got anything against you (well probably not anyway), it's because we don't correspond and we're not exactly "friends."

Born on a Beltane Full Moon in the early hours of May 6th 1985 my life as a Witch had begun, no one could deny that! My Grandmas first words to my Mother when she saw me for the first time were, "Just look at those big eyes! This little one has been here before." What exactly my eyes had to do with it I don't know.
24 years later and I'm an eclectic Pagan (NOT Wiccan) and lover of the Goddess! I have been for the last 3 years. However, I believe my life as a Witch started the moment I came out kicking and screaming :D This is the conclusion I came to when I was 5-6 years old because of a recurring dream I was having at that time of crawling down a dark tunnel only to come out at the end to a Witch stirring a Cauldron (cliche I know). At the time this dream used to scare me but at the same time I somehow knew that the Witch in my dream represented me and always would do.
I bought my first Tarot deck (Golden Rider) at the age of 7 with some left over pocket money I had, and similar "strange" items even younger. I believe there is no such thing as coincidence, that everything happens for a reason, and that my path as a Witch was Fate.
Most things Occult, Magickal and New Age (this term gets a bad rep) interests me, especially working with the subconscious via dreams and lucid dreaming. This is my area of expertise, and dream work, astral projection, lucid dreaming, and meditation are a particular passion of mine. Other interests are, energy work, crystal healing, Oracle decks, Kundalini Yoga, herb lore, Shamanic plants for journeying, development of the psychic senses, astral Magick, reading metaphysical books, studying and learning along my path, and much more...
I'm a member of a Goddess Circle (not a Coven) who meets 8 times a year close to the seasonal festivals to celebrate the Goddess in all Her forms. It's something I thoroughly enjoy as it makes such a change from working solitary, plus celebrating the Goddess with other Women is truly Magickal!
I class Mother Nature as my Guide and I feel a particular affinity towards the Moon (I wonder why). Angels and the Fae fascinate me. I'm a polytheist, soft or hard? I don't know. I practice both Dark and Light Magick (so keep on my good side) ;) and I believe in Balance, even if that means throwing a Hex or two out there (shock horror!) I believe in Karma, but not the Threefold Law, and will take on the chin whatever Karma comes my way i.e. I am responsible for my own actions, and please know, I don't do anything in haste...
And last, but certainly not least, I'm a HUGE animal lover and find they speak to me in ways humans don't! I'm the proud owner of Dougal, a Bichon Frise, and Fern, a Chihuahua, plus Billi & Bo my two rats. If I could have just 1 wish it would be for ALL the animals in the World to be safe, happy, healthy and loved.
I am currently studying Anatomy & Physiology Level 2 ready for September when I start my 2 year Crystal Healing Practitioner Diploma. I can't wait as this is something I've wanted to do for a long time. Eventually I would like to incorporate Reiki into my crystal healing as these two make for a powerful pair.
There is a LOT more to me than what I could possibly write here but these are the "basics." I've seen and done things in my short 24 years which most people won't see or do in their entire life (they wouldn't want to either!) It's because of this why I am the person I am today, so I give thanks to the Dark because it has lead me to the Light and to walk the path I tread today... that is, the path of the Wise Woman, the Witch! Just as my dream all those years ago foretold.

Far too many to mention... I prefer non-fiction to fiction though. However, the best Witchy/Pagan fiction I've ever read is the Stonewylde series. Look it up on Amazon.co.uk and read the reviews for yourself. I promise you'll love these books! Amazon.com and the US hasn't really picked-up on this amazing series yet but it's growing quickly over here in the UK and rightly so.

* LIARS. What more do I need to say?
* People who eat with their mouth open and smack their lips. YUCK!
