About Me:
Greetings! My name is Gypsy, An old nickname I’ve never been quite able to shake loose. Not from a lack of trying I tell you. But I am partially of Spanish Romani descent & have traveled the whole USA & parts of both Mexico & Canada.

Some would have called me homeless at that time. In reality I was just a free spirit gypsy nomad who saw the whole world as my home (I have owned several skoolies over the years and am a old Deadhead who toured a lot and followed the Rainbow Trail).

Well since last I updated this, I have met the Mama of my dreams and fallen deeply in love. Many of my dreams, goals & visions have real substance thanks to this lass. She has pulled my head down out of the clouds and has led me to believe my vision can actually be manifested. One of my biggest dreams is to homestead a piece of land and raise a loving family. I live in Waldport, Oregon now and one of our goals is to open a Bohemian style coffee shop in Seal Rock called "Brighid by the Sea Cafe". Then on to working on upgrading from 1 acre to a 5 to 10 acre homestead with a cord wood style hobbit house very much like this little house. http://www.simondale.net/house I'll also be busy working on inmersing myself into the local Pagan community and seriously considering finally starting a Grove after being Solitary for over a quarter of a century. lol Also I have begun to delve back into my Wiccan roots since my love is Wiccan and she has shown a interest in delving into Druidry. It shall be a fascinating spiritual journey for us both.

I'm into Druidism & Fire Dancing & playing/jamming bluegrass & jamband music. These for me go hand in hand as my matron deity is none other than the Fiery Brighid herself (Goddess of fire & inspiration).

I’ve been a practicing Druid for 22 years, a Pagan for 26. I started Wiccan, but I not so much out grew as I evolved beyond Wicca to Druidism.

I love music from Classical, Bach & Mozart to Classic Rock, (Jethro Tull is my all time favorite band) to Celtic Music to Modern Rock like Stone Temple Pilot, Radiohead, Staind & Evanescence to Rockabilly. My main thing is Bluegrass/Jam Bands & Jethro Tull. I play the Bass, Guitar, Flute & Banjo and now the Mandolin that I'm truly enjoying.

I love going to Concerts & Music Festivals, Rainbow Gatherings, Burning Man type Events (Never been to Burning Man itself) & Pagan Gatherings. Love to travel & meet new people and I special love to camp and hike. Set me loose in a mountain or forest and I'm in heaven.

Of course I mention that my other passion is Fire Dancing. This is a form of performance I’ve been deeply involved in for sometime now & have been figuring ways to incorporate it into my rituals to honour my matron Goddess Brighid.

I've spent alot of time working with & helping teens (I was myself a street kid once). I'm a practicing Druid in the ADF
( http://www.adf.org ) for almost 5 years now. Prior to returning to Santa Ynez Valley I was living in Portland, OR for 4 years. I was involve with Magickal Winter Weekend as well as one of the founding members and vice-chairman of Pacific Magical Community Project.

I'll post more here when I have time.

My friend & fellow Druidess Jillbe "Crow" formerly Mabyn Wind knock me over the head and drag me here.

Many different modern druidic groups and individuals have their own interpretation of the Awen. The three lines relate to earth, sea and sky; body, mind and spirit; or love, wisdom and truth. It is also said that the Awen stands for not simply inspiration, but for inspiration of truth; without Awen one cannot proclaim truth. The three foundations of Awen are the understanding of truth, the love of truth, and the maintaining of truth.

HEY I'M LIVE! Well you may catch me live here occasionly. I'm planning on doing a weekly evening show on Druidry, called DRUID TV. So check back often for broadcasting schedule to be put up soon.
Probably the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. This video is from a movie called Songcatcher that I highly recommend. You may have figured out by now that I'm a Mountain Boy and Mountain Music is what I love the most. This was the first time I had ever heard Iris Dement and fell instantly in love with her (even though she is a Christian. LOL ) Everytime I hear this song it sends chills up my spine. The good kind that is. Though I love Irish/Celtic music, I believe we American Pagans should embrace the music of our own Mountains cause it is music rooted in the land. This song Iris sings is a old English Ballad and in my mind the most beautiful voice I have ever heard from a woman. I can close my eyes and imagine myself sitting on a old cabin porch with some fellow Druids listening to her sing as we contemplate the beautiful mountains we feel blessed to live in.
I do believe this could be a Pagan song. LOL
Another beautiful song by Iris that I can't embed but here is the link. Iris Dement- These Hills(1992)

Science & Spirituality, unlikely bed buddies? Druids don't think so.

We Druids are what is referred to as Natural Spiritual Scientist. The Greeks referred to us as adepts in Natural philosophy or the philosophy
of nature, known in Latin as philosophia naturalis. It is a term
applied to the objective study of nature and the physical universe that
was regnant before the development of modern scien… Continue

Give me a slow Country Road thank you very much!

All the great Holy teachers have taught us that the road to enlightenment is a narrow and twisting road. To me it’s a nice little country road like the one my friend and fellow Druidess used in her
blog.. We found that road cause we looked for the signs (labels). New
Agers want one big super highways so everyone can r… Continue

Writing a Nature Dictionary

Way back in ancient times (when I was still young & in my 20's.
LOL) I took my first steps on the path of the Druids. My mentor
Sparrowhawk introduced me to the language of nature. Strange thing was
it sounded different to me than it did to her yet the message was still
the same. Language you say? Well what I speak of is symbolic language.
Those who keep a Dream Journal will understand what I'm talking about.
