Hobbies: Reading, camping, having fun with the family, making dream catchers, cross-stitching and most other crafty type things.

Heroes: My mom. She battled cancer for 5 years and 7 months with a smile on her face. She volunteered at a children's oncology camp every year, and scheduled her chemo around camp. She finally got to go back to her family on May 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM. She is extreemly missed!!

My mom died last year on the 22nd of May. She's buried in Arlington National Cemetary. I live in Kansas right now, 20.5 hour drive from Arlington, but we're moving the end of May. I wanted to have the movers come out on the 24th so we could make a quick trip to Arlington and visit the grave with my sister on the 22nd, then get back in time to be there when the movers get there, then head to Idaho...Yuck. My mom always said that when she died, her soul would go to Scotland. Today at 2, she took that journey. I am going to miss her so much. I really wish she could have lived forever. I was very lucky that she allowed me to be there when she died. I heard her last breath and then the silence. She will be missed by so many people. She really held a lot of people up through their own battles with cancer. My sister and I washed her body after, then we all sat around her and played a CD of Amazing… Continue

Today my mom was placed on Hospice. She's been in the hospital once a week for the last three weeks. She's so tough, she amazes me. She's been battling cancer for 5 1/2 years now. She originally was told she had a 20% chance of surviving a year. During these years, she's volunteered to be a councelor at a cancer camp for kids. My mom has cancer and was admitted to the hospital again this morning for a bowel obstruction. It's her 10th one and 4th hospitalization for it. Can I get some candles lit for her please to help with pain reduction.

Boy was today stressfull. There was so much to do, and so little time. If it weren't for all the lovely cards I received it wouldn't have been bearable. Thank you all for the wonderful Yule blessings!!!

You just basically logged in your time spent on each subject and then the kids were responsible for doing their assignments at their own pace(if they wanted to go ahead). I had a friend who did the k12 program, she loved it. He won't let me homeschool them, says "they will become social recluses". Wow, I can ramble can't I? LOLLL We're all moved in by the way. Just have to do last minute cleaning tomorrow and I'm done "there".
