Vegan has not received any gifts yet
I've submitted, I am utterly defeated.
Food beat me down, and interestingly enough food has resurrected me.
For years, all my life I suppose, I've been a consumer of food.
Like I had a choice, right? Well now, sure enough I've finally matured and learned I do and did have choices all along.
Perhaps not so much as a child, no going back to that anyway - but as a young adult I had plenty of options about nutrition.

It's a complexity of feelings and emotions - the distinction between the two not lost upon me even when I am in the grips of the hoarding fever.
Elation, shame, disgust, pride, and the tactile - "touch" sensations that metal, wood, glass, ceramic, plastic, paper and fabric are found in the acquisition of stuff and adding it to the collection.
You may, if you ever talk to a hoarder, hear them say that.
I hear and read all sorts of different reasoning behind going Vegan, living the Vegan life.
Some do it for the animals, others see the health benefits. Some see a connection to the spiritual realm by being an adherent.
I see the validity of all these but for me the current bedrock that makes Veganism work is the liquor!
