About Me:

I’m a mother and grandmother. I am retired but try to keep busy. I practice Tai Chi and Qigong, The system of Chinese Healing and Martial Arts. I love to garden and sit in the yard reading and watching the birds. My goal this year is to learn how to grow, propagate, and use herbs. I want to learn how to use them with food, as medicine, for beauty and aroma. Daughter is working with vegetables. She is doing the corn, bean and squash thing. She also planted sugar and carving pumpkins for Samhain. Granddaughter who is age 10 is helping us.

Daughter got a bunny

Abby (my daughter) has wanted a rabbit for along time. Last weekend she finally purchased one. He is very cute.

Sometimes we do what we want, sometimes what we should and we always do what we need to do.

After that last accident two years ago I said I'd never buy a new car. I drove my son in laws car whenever I needed to go somewhere. I loved it when the kids chauffeured for me. I don't like to drive.

Then the most horrorable thing happened his car stopped running. Daughter and I had just come home from the grocery store. It ran fine. About half an hour later son in law had to go to work and the car would not start.

Nature in my backyard

I love nature and being outside and I go as much as I can. When I was younger I camped and went to festivals. Now that I am older It's easier to stay at home. I still go on short trips into nature. My backyard is my haven. My daugher and I grow herbs, vegetibles and flowers. I have a chair under the tree where I can read and meditate(sometimes with my eyes closed :) ). Last weekend we went on a educational trip for my granddaughter to indian barial mounds.
