I grew up believing that no one has the right to hurt another being. That grew into NO LIVING BEING...it did not matter if that being had two legs, four legs, or no legs at all. It also meant that a person had no right to destroy what Mother Earth gave us.

Hobbies

I'm in a group that recreates the Middle Ages, called the Society for Creative Anachronism, INC or the SCA. My boyfriend is in the VNV/LV Motorcycle group here in the area, so we ride alot too.

Heroes

My parents, for always standing up with me and not turning their backs on me. My sister, because she doesn't have to be! And, of course, all the rest of my friends and family.

Likes

LOVE being a nurse. Long days with my family.

Dislikes

Liars and cheats and thieves (all of which describes my ex-husband to a tee! LOL). Laundry and ironing are up there too! Unfortunately, I don't own a scrub top that doesn't need to be ironed! LMAO

I am a nurse....

I am a nurse. I'm not a great nurse, probably not even a good nurse. But, I am a nurse.
I take care of people, primarily older people. I work with the elderly. I absolutely love my job. It gives me great pleasure to help the elderly people make the most of their last days.

Alot going on...

Well, I haven't posted in a while....things have been crazy busy around here. I started school last week for my RN. I'm not at all sure that I'll ever make it to taking my NCLEX exam for my license. But, I won't know until I try. I'm doing this for myself, not for the money or for anyone else. Just me. Anyway, I'm in Pre-Algebra at the moment. Bored and maybe a little depressed

Well, I'm home alone right now. Danny and Troy are in Houston, visiting with Danny's parents. I wasn't able to go because of work. Sometimes, I really hate the idea of working for a living!! LOL
But, most things are looking good. I'm pretty sure that I got the pay raise that I was promised. I'll find out on the 10th for sure. I'm getting a new pink scooter!! I can't wait to get it. Walked out

Well, I walked out of Willow Park Health Care Center last Friday afternoon. I am currently unemployed! They had promised me a raise effective immediately on the 6th of May. When I picked up my paycheck on Friday, that pay raise wasn't there. When I asked the DON about it, she blew me off. When I said that I wouldn't be coming back, she said "If you quit, that's your problem". I told her that NO, it wasn't my problem, it was her's. I don't need Willow Park, but they DO need me. Well, I'm staying...

I'm going to be staying at Willow Park as an LPN. I spoke with the DON and the administrator about my leaving the end of the week. They offered me a big pay raise and the shift that I wanted in order to go back to school.
There were some other things discussed, but essentially, it means that I'll be staying here. I didn't really want to leave here in the first place. I just needed to start thinking for myself as far as school was concerned. Plus, it means that I'll be able to sleep with my boyfr… Continue
