Summer Solstice

This is actually the first time that I've recognized and celebrated the Solstice. Because I live in an apartment I am limited to the things I can do. I woke up this morning early, had breakfast on my balcony while watching the sunrise,and gave thanks to the gods for a beautiful day. After that I made the first rune of my new set; SIGEL. Yggdrasil

I've always been drawn to that large single tree in the middle of the field. There are quite a few where I live. I've come to see these trees as a symbol of the world tree Yggdrasil. I have heard much about this topic on paganspace and I wonder if there are others who believe in the world tree?

Ragnarok

Well, here's the thing. Everything that I've read states that the majority of the gods were killed at the battle of ragnarok. I myself still feel drawn to certain gods; Odin and Thor more so than any others. I'm curious to know where others stand with this. And maybe they might have some information from something that I hav'nt read yet.

With my Runes I didn't specify the wood used, just what felt right to me personally. That would be up to you what you used, based on my path I support other people choosing what feels right to them, so searching it out for yourself is a good plan. I know that if you ascribe to Odin at all, Oak is his sacred tree. Not sure about many other deities, just stay open to your inner self and see where it leads you. Good luck finding what you need.
