Greetings... I am Lady Adara. Photobucket
Beliefs / Practices
Pagan, Witch, Satanist, Heathen
Other Beliefs/Practices
I am a Satanic Witch.

Although I am quite happy with my own path, I like to learn about different paths and see the value in each, but in the end I will incorporate only what I feel will work in my practice.

WITCHYS WIKKED GRAPHIX

I have been in this incarnation for thirty-five years. I am a Scorpio and proud. Hopefully anyone reading this will have sufficient astrological knowledge not to flinch. We have been given an unfairly harsh reputation and although there is some truth to it (shh... yes, I did say that) we also have a fun loving gentle side... with the right person of course.

WITCHYS WIKKED GRAPHIX

WITCHYS WIKKED GRAPHIX

I have been studying the old ways since I was sixteen years old when I found my first book on Witchcraft and could not put it down. There it was... in black and white... what I had been looking for... what I had always felt but never had a name for.

I am most fond of honesty and directness.

I enjoy reading as I find it a great source of knowledge, as well as, a constructive way to escape the everyday routine and transport yourself to another world. Music is also one of my passions. I love nature; camping, bonfires, anything outdoors. I do love to just stay home and relax with a nice glass of wine and good conversation., I value and respect courage in others and respect for other's point of view. I love a good debate. Most importantly to me, I find spirituality and faith in the Divine, whatever path it may be, something necessary in one's life.

What I dislike most is complacency and lack of courage in people. I am a firm believer that we have the capability and responsibility to face life's challenges with a positive attitude. I dislike the idea that our society places so much value on the superficial and material and fails to promote the concept of looking inward for a sense of value.
Hobbies
I have a large collections of books so to pick just a few is almost impossible for me. Other than my Pagan/Wiccan/Witchy books I enjoy anything Historical, Dark, Vampiric, Mystery, after all I am a Scorpio.

Likes

The one thing I truly despise is cowardly people and duplicity....

IN MEMORY OF A BELOVED PACKMATE.... LUNA....

Under a full moon she came into my life fifteen years ago, hence her namesake, and under a full moon she took her leave.

Luna was the one constant in my life for the last fifteen years... my source of strength, companionship and comfort.

She was there holding my paw through the darkest of days and licked away every tear I shed.

She smiled along with me in my times of joy.

She was sister to my pups, both non hairy and hairy ones.

Luna was not just a furry pup; she was my best friend, my sister, my daughter, my confidant, my companion, my nurturer and my defender.

We were blessed to have her in our pack for fifteen years, but her bones were weary and she was tired. It was her time to go.

We could not have asked to be honored by a more beautiful and loyal soul's love and devotion.

With a heavy heart and an emptiness in our souls we said good bye to her on November 11, 2008.

To My Dearest Friend:
You are still loved and cherished in death as you were in life and will forever remain a beloved member of our pack even in spirit.

Thank you for the love and devotion you honored us by giving unconditionally.

May the Gods keep you until we meet again in the next world., Old Lady.

Run free and trust that we will be together again....

Your Loyal Packmate,

Adara

My Greatest Joy

My greatest joy in life is being me.... arrogance aside (yes, I can set ego aside sometimes)... the fact that I am at a point in my life that I can be me without having to deal with anyone's bullshit about it is the greatest joy I could ever have....

You know I have always been the little rebel not in a violent way nor for the sake of being difficult, simply never understood why people expected you to be anything other than what you are... always was the little anti social kid who just did not… Continue

Artilce about Twin Flames

Crossroads

The crossroads into the unknown

At the edge of the cliff

What can be seen?

The long winding road of yesterday

Littered with shattered dreams of the past

Emptiness and longing of the present

A threshold to the possibilities of tomorrow

Unholy Flame

Eternal damnation
Infernal desire
Wisps of smoke
Rise from the pyre

In each plume
A hope or dream
A testament
To the unseen

Archaic thoughts
A shield of stone
An abyss of old
Of flesh and bone

Friend or foe
Dancing ghosts
Guarding sentinels
Or welcoming hosts

Rattling chains
Secure and strong
Kept them at bay
Imprisoned for so long

Flickering flames
Shine through the veil
Reveal the sweet
Yet bitter tale

From that flame
What can become
Another battle
A promise of home

In exchange

Almost....

Through the darkest of nights

Through the darkest of days

A spark always remained

A glimmer

A hope

Almost gone

Almost forgotten

Almost....

*Autumn*
By Skye

The wind grows cooler
As I grow older
The Earth grows
distant
From the sun

I seek balance
Night to the day
Everything around me
Falling
In shades

As I grow grey
Shadows shifting, moving and lifting
Revealing the Moon
Yielding
To the Underworld

And I learn
How apples become stars
Lighting the night with
Promises
Full of life

~I hope your Autumn is as beautiful & special as you are !! Many blessings to you my friend. ~Love & Hugs Balor~

hi, well, the question really comes from both religion and sociology. I made a presentation to the UU church today about my research this summer of New Orleans Voodoo post-Katrina. One of the major themes is that there are multiple intersecting communities, not the least of which is the American Neopagan community. As you know, a large percentage is solitary, and apparently so is the NO Voodoo community. Those in NO who were solitary seemed to fare the worst post-Katrina, those who were involved in an organized group fared the best. A couple groups really acted like "churches" in reaching out and helping to distribute goods to survivors. Not a criticism of the rest of us, but something to think about... how can we get the benefits of organization without suffering the negatives that you so aptly listed.

Again, thank you for letting me use your quote.

Hi, you gave a really great, concise bullet point response to my question that summarized a lot of ideas people were saying. May I quote you on it?

~Have a wonderful Holiday weekend my friend !! Love & Hugs Balor~

Late summer days are perfect now, sunny, calm, serene
While Mother Nature changes clothes to tint our summer scene.
The gauzy purple twilight envelops every night
While streaks of peach and flaming orange hide sunset from our sight.
Wildflowers on the forest edge sway in gentle breeze
Soon they'll shed their blossoms too, as summer takes her leave.
Next phase is Autumn's sleight-of-hand with colors bright and true
'Til Mother Nature's restless hand wipes them all from view.
Savor these sweet tranquil days they're certain not to last
We'll wish we had them back again when feeling Winters blast.

Summer Sun

Great is the sun, and wide he goes
Through empty heaven with repose;
And in the blue and glowing days
More thick than rain he showers his rays.

Though closer still the blinds we pull
To keep the shady parlour cool,
Yet he will find a chink or two
To slip his golden fingers through.

The dusty attic spider-clad
He, through the keyhole, maketh glad;
And through the broken edge of tiles
Into the laddered hay-loft smiles.

Meantime his golden face around
He bares to all the garden ground,
And sheds a warm and glittering look
Among the ivy's inmost nook.

Above the hills, along the blue,
Round the bright air with footing true,
To please the child, to paint the rose,
The gardener of the World, he goes.

by Robert Louis Stevenson

May the warmth of his golden rays
Spread magic brightly through your days.
