What is a Pagan vs. Witch?

I own a chatroom with my b/f....Its a spiritual chatroom. Last night we were all talking and I made the comment that I was a Pagan, Im a Witch, but I am not a Wiccan. He got all upset with me and said that me saying Im a Pagan is very hard for him to accept. Im single mom of a funny 11yr old boy. (in Oct). I stopped doing Magick when I found out I was pregnant with him, except for the one I did to put out what I wanted in my child.
