About Me:
I am a sea witch, son and priest of Brighid and Manannan. I was trained and elevated in the Morganic Tradition of Wicca to the third degree. I have since left that group and continue studying on my own. I have a wide range of interest and passion.

Although I'm primarily turned on by other men, I have been known to be open-minded and appreciative of the other fair sex, well, once as she was sharing her man with me. ;)

No Car, no cable, no caffeine, makes Coyote a healthy boyo. My philosophy is simple in this: I don't have money to waste on doctors and hospitals and other medical expense BS. I'll use it when I need it, but I live my life as healthy as practical. Vitamins and antioxidants. Zinc and milk thistle seed extract. Vitamin E and C especially, and water, lots of water. Yoga and bicycling everywhere keep my body trim and limber. I also gave up my addiction to soda pop and cigarettes. I believe that my body is mine only for a short time and then my flesh, made of Earth, goes back to the Earth. My water re-joins with the Great Ocean of Water. I don't do these things because I want to live forever, I do them because I want my body to be as healthy as I can keep it for as long as I can keep it. In my early 30's I started feeling like an old man. That had to stop. Long live Peter Pan!

Other Beliefs/Practices
I am flame-keeper in Ord Brighideach, an international, interfaith order of flame-keepers dedicated to the goddess and saint Brighid, by Her many names and guises. I keep a perpetual flame burning for Brighid, and serve other flame-keepers by sending them Brighid's fire. My fire comes from Kildare, Ireland, home of Solas Bridhe, the sisters who re-lit Brighid's flame.

I also honor my ancestors every week and consider my extensive genealogical records as a family treasure. I'm in the process of buying dirt from the graves of my deads to add to my soulpot. I keep it on my ancestor altar along with lots of pictures of many generations of my kin.

I've studied the runes on and off for over 15 years. I've chanted the galdr sounds and drawn bind-runes. And this Blood Moon I'll blood my runes for the first time. My main source of inspiration and education being Teutonic Magic by Kveldulf Gundarsson.

I've been good neighbors to the Orishas here in South Florida. Through casual learning and personal experiences Yemaya and Elegua have come into my life. They seem content with my casual honoring and acknowledging, for example I wear red and black for Elegua on Mondays and I keep sea water in a blue glass bowl on my altar for Yemaya.

Shadow Totem

The water was lukewarm and silky against my bare skin,
The vast amount of stars cast a shimmer of silver on the dark rolling waves around me.
I feel the tentacles of an octopus, caressing my feet and legs, around my waist,
A surge of fear fires off from my belly and shoots out the crown of my head,
and I relax. The octopus is not dragging me down, is not drowning me.

Caressing and soothing me. So I caress back. Then I wake up.

The River of Blood
by Lord Coyote
for Alice

In the middle of the River in a glass boat,
The souls of the dead floating by,
I stuck my hands down into the blood,
And drew my great granny up high.

I cleansed the gore from off her skin
And shuddering with sobs she shook
My fingers through the knots of her locks
Untangled and caressed them smooth.

I hugged her to me and lifted her up
And she smiled as we drew near the Shore.
As close as I could I helped her step out
To make her way Home once more.

Goddess Kali is the Goddess of time, change, destruction, violence, and salvation. She is very protective of Her children from evil, which is Her target of destruction. She is our Gracious Mother, Kali-Ma. Aum.

I feel that it's time for an Arabian Pagan group devoted to the Great Triple Goddess of Arabia, اللات‎ (Al-Lāt), who was one of the three chief goddesses of Mecca. Time that She is worshipped as the Goddess and not just another idol. Allatu Akbar!

Thirteen Years a Wiccan

Me 13 years ago before my initiation.

This Full Moon in Pisces marks the thirteenth year since my initiation. In that time I've found myself leaning more toward Witch than Wiccan. Lately I've been skipping out on rituals marking the Moon's phases and the Sabbats. In some cases I did abbreviated circles and… Continue

Fires of Beltane

The Kundalini serpent coiled at the base of my spine moves and dances to the music of the season of Beltane. My pelvis rocks and sways and my strong legs move me where I want to go. The serpent rises shining as the sun, firing my heart, inflaming my mind, setting my spirit free… Continue

Bright Brighnasa Tide!

Imbolc blessings to everyone! I'm a little late in wishing your well, however I consider it the season of Imbolc until Beltane. It was in that spirit that I excused myself for not 'spring cleaning' before my Imbolc ritual, or Brighnasa as my tradition of Wicca calls it. One… Continue

To Drive the Cold Winter Away

traditional carol

All hail to the days that merit more praise
Than all the rest of the year
And welcome the nights that double delights
As well for the poor as the peer
Sweet blessings attend each merry man's friend
Each does but the best that he may
